Very entertaining first episode. Both leads are very capable actors, absolutely no cringey moments. The story is not terribly engaging, so we will have to see. Kind of the opposite of Golden Blood, with a good story but bad acting by Sky.
After ep 6, I have dropped this series. Nothing happens. I find Fiat as a character just plain unlikable. I admire Ja, he is very handsome and a fine actor. Hopefully he will be in a more interesting series in the future.
Oh...another dumb thing about this show's last episode: Whatever happened to Sun's injury/wound from having been…
You bring up some very good points. However, Boat was so breathtaking in his role as Sun I was willing to overlook such trivialities as plot, writing, continuity and just plain nonsensical medical scenes. Also, the writers really failed to utilize the potential of the “golden blood” in the story, and THAT was my greatest disappointment in the series.
TO ANYONE WHO HAS NOT WATCHED THIS SERIES: DON'T SUGGEST BY ANY OPINION, SOME PEOPLE MAY APPROVE OR HATE. WATCH…
I also agree that Boat was amazing- when he was onscreen I really believed he WAS Sun. He was very effective in his role, which is completely different than his real persona. Yes there were some problems with continuity and script, but all in all this series is definitely in my top 10, which includes Until we meet again, Kiss me again, A tale of a thousand stars and My day. The story was much more interesting than the usual engineering/ medical student trope.
I would recommend Gun tone down his performance, sometimes less is more.
Now that the series is over, I’m a little bit sad. I loved Sun, I thought Boat’s portrayal was spot-on. Sky needs some coaching in regards to over-emoting in his emotional scenes. I liked the ending, I would have been very unhappy if one of the lead couple were killed off. Bank was totally delightful and I hope to see him again.
This is the most outrageous statement I’ve seen yet.
