Tian Xi Wei is now officially one of my favorite actresses. I was never impressed with her bambi eyes until Moonlit Reunion. But this...has put her on another level. She emotes too well. And she really fights with all her might. She not only piggybacked ML, she was able to run a little while doing so. For real!!!

Today's episode is especially engaging. I started out yelling at Xie Zheng on-screen that he deserves to be slapped by Changyu for the lies he's been spinning. Tsk tsk. He deserves to have his head smacked like her pigs. And that ending!!!

Even so, it's a big deal cos Netflix is only one of the various platforms this show is being released on.

Yes, at first I thought she was reckless but after watching the entire scene, she was not. She knew what she was doing and I'm glad it turned out well. I love her guts but I kept thinking...shouldn't someone test if the food were poison...haha. Just being paranoid.

After all the slaps and punches, his face still looks very recognizable. No swollen eyes and bruised lips?

Why? Last 4 episodes were good. I rewatched them.

She's very pretty with big eyes and sort of typecast as sweet and bubbly...that was my impression of her until I watched her in Moonlit Reunion. She can kickass too. I also quite like her in In Between and now this.

Watched 2 episodes and trying to hold cos I want more to drop before watching. Hope I can resist. But this is good. I like both leads and who can resist a strong FL who can single-handledly piggy back a man and shoulder a pig.

I was like you, almost wanting to hold cos I couldn't bear with the trashy characters, most afraid they would spoil the main couple's story. But they didn't. So you can continue in peace. They caused some trouble but not enough to make the couple suffer too much.

I keep thinking the man in black could be the FL's master due to his obsession with her aunt.

Nope, you're not alone. This one is truly enjoyable. The plot is interesting and the pace is good. Cast is doing great portraying the roles. Editing is okay too. I think some find it hard to get in cos they can't get he plot with the different sects and backstory.

ML's wonton-making skills are quite top-notch. The dumplings look very tasty with the spring onions. 😋

Ok, I finally found someone who feels the same about this drama as me. I was really excited about this drama cos of the leads but after two episodes, I felt it was meh. Then I thought perhaps I should give it a chance and continued till ep 17 but the story never got me and I find myself fast-forwarding a lot and in the end I dropped it. I usually like this genre but this drama is just lacking for me. I find the story just loops and there is nothing exciting to watch. Maybe their dialogues are interesting but the plot just fell flat for me. I really can't understand the raves.

I haven't got there...but even then, I find their chemistry pretty good.

Yeah, MDL ratings are usually unfairly off.

So you know which one I'm talk about? LOL. There are way better plots. That one was truly meh.

This is pretty solid in terms of plot and acting, and it gets an 8.2 while another that is quite meh plot-wise got a much higher rating? Cos no romance and kisses?
