I FF their scenes. I like the girl but the guy is far too toxic. His brother was more watchable.

Sigh. The drama name is literal. Pursuit of Jade and the ML himself explained...SHE IS THE JADE.

This drama is so successful that it's been sabotaged in such a dirty way. Well, whatever it is, I doubt the leaks will keep the drama numbers down. It'll still rank well.

While waiting for the new episodes, I kept circling back to the scene where Changyu fought Shi Hu. I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched. The whole scene from the moment Shi Hu stepped in with his war hammer to how she sliced his hand and legs and finally crushed him with his own hammer was so epic. And then that ending scene, with Xie Zheng scooping her up and her headband flying away... was just mesmerizing.

I always look forward to his scenes. He's such a quirky but cute old man.

Unfortunately, the humor in the scene where the word Changyu's master gave her is lost in translation. When he explained that the other meaning of Shanjun is fierce tiger of the mountain, she quickly reinterpreted it as "mu lao hu or a tigress of the mountain". Because her response was so quick, it actually sounded very funny in Mandarin cos "mu lao hu" is kinda derogatory, usually to poke fun at women who are too strong or domineering. That's why her master laughed because of her unique take. Our Changyu is super cute!

I believe it was to hold the leash of the horse.

So did anyone read about the bloopers on set like how the director was caught on camera or how they used gas stove to cook in the drama? I wonder how these people are so sharp but I never saw a thing. Haha. I only look at the leads and that already takes up 90% of my attention. The balance 10% on the people around them and maybe also their weapons and horses. Lol.

Yes, I also went to watch on a bigger screen and it's the big butcher knife. She used the other knife to cut his arm.

She has 2 knives...I was trying to ascertain which one.

Can someone confirm for me if her butcher knife broke while fighting? I rewatched that scene many times but still can't quite confirm.

Tian Xi Wei is now officially one of my favorite actresses. I was never impressed with her bambi eyes until Moonlit Reunion. But this...has put her on another level. She emotes too well. And she really fights with all her might. She not only piggybacked ML, she was able to run a little while doing so. For real!!!

Today's episode is especially engaging. I started out yelling at Xie Zheng on-screen that he deserves to be slapped by Changyu for the lies he's been spinning. Tsk tsk. He deserves to have his head smacked like her pigs. And that ending!!!

Even so, it's a big deal cos Netflix is only one of the various platforms this show is being released on.

Yes, at first I thought she was reckless but after watching the entire scene, she was not. She knew what she was doing and I'm glad it turned out well. I love her guts but I kept thinking...shouldn't someone test if the food were poison...haha. Just being paranoid.
