Before we all go off to watch the final episodes, l just want to say I wish people would stop saying that He Yu carries the show. I like him and he's great here but it takes two hands to clap.

Esther is really doing a great job. Some of you mentioned names of other actresses but honestly, I think she's the best fit here. The others mentioned may have their merits, but I can't think of one who has a sweet face but is also cute, sassy, sexy, and effortlessly captivating. I wouldn't count myself as her fan but I don't mind watching her shows...depending if the story line captures my heart.

Anyway, this show is successful cos they cast the right leads. It's a combination...not a solo effort.

It's conflicting. Not sure if there are mixed up in the novel and the drama. But I'll go back to their early days to verify again. I agree...if adopted, it's still odd. But the mom kept stressing that they have no blood relation so that makes it easy. Haha. And throughout the time in Thailand, they kept saying he has no ties/obligation to the father too. It wouldn't be said that way if he's adopted right?

I don't remember that he was legally adopted. The father just brought him home. And there was a part the mom wanted to send him away when Mumu wasn't talking.

So I say he is selfish. He never said outright they should break off. She asked him but he never answered...but gave a vague answer. So he always had that emotional hold over her. Sure I know his reasons but that doesn't mean I agree with the way he handled things with her. Like I said before, I wonder what would have happened if the tables were turned and it was the FL who ghosted him for years. Seems people are more willing to forgive the guy.

I find him selfish too. On one hand, he wants to set her free but he never officially broke off with her. He even texted her that he would contact her again, knowing she would hold him to those words. The rubbish he said to her about why he did not contact her really pissed me. So why get upset when she said she's got someone now? Yet so many people took his side, urging audience to understand his position. Seriously, if it's the other way around, I wonder how much the FL would have been attacked.

Sometimes it's not just about acting. She just works for this role and the acting is decent and enjoyable to watch. If you don't like, just wait for shows that feature your fave. No need to be bitter and come here to 🤮. That's low.

I didn't watch Legend of Zhang Hai (too intense) but I love Blood River. Have you watched the Joy of Life series...not revenge plot but a lot of strategy too.

I wanted to wait till most episodes have dropped on Netflix before I start this but I couldn't resist. Two episodes in, and I'm so hooked. Cheng Yi!!!

Seriously, stop giving weight to her reviews. Stop promoting her and what she says. Don't even write her site's name. She thrives on traffic so when you mention her...people will go to her site and that'll just give her more ammunition to slaughter shows that we like but she doesn't. I know the channel will still turn up on searches but just...don't do her this favor. Cos she monetizes her channel with stuff that she knows will draw flaks but she doesn't care as long as there are traffic.

That and more laughable is FL saying, dogs are smart these days. LOL. So the dog is so smart, it will snitch on them? Hahaha.

Esther's lips are so tantalizing...I can't remember being so interested in any actress' lips before. Hers look so kissable...and the colors chosen work so well on her.

Not true. It just depends. I gave my nieces and nephews red packets when I started working and before I was married.

Of all the action shows he's been on, this is the first I felt truly exhausted for him. Not to say the rest weren't tough but it's probably cos of how he portrayed this character that made my heart ached so much for him even as an actor. But this man, I salute him. He truly honors his craft and puts his all in it. I hope he gets more complicated roles in future where we can see his emotions at play. I also hope he gets sufficient rest in between projects.

I rather no season 2 for any of the shows. They are good as is. It's rarely that we see a satisfying season 2. Most of them are disappointing. Must as well keep their resources for a totally new show.

Seems like a lot of shows like to create an illusion of having a S2 just in case. For this show, I really hope not. As it is, there are so much comparison with the movie and a number were not happy how the story evolved in the drama. I don't take that ending scene too seriously. I personally think a new project would be better than a S2.

IDK why so many people expect a closure on this. It has been years and people do move on. IRL, not everything gets resolved either.
