All are contemporary C-dramas I would recommend.

Oh you mean period dramas? This is the 2nd time I'm watching her in period dramas. I've mostly watched her in contemporary ones. But based on the synopsis of the story, I get the impression that this is HE. So fingers crossed.

I'm probably in the minority who doesn't mind him that much. Could be cos I've watched him in Joy of Life and found his character quite interesting then. The only thing I dislike in this drama is his curly ponytail.

I love Love and Destiny and I love the ML there despite all the protest about his looks back then. I was talking to someone the other day and we were laughing about why do generals in Cdramas look so fair? Did they have sunblock back then? LOL.

I think current casting is good. Snow Kong is pretty but she doesn't have that weightiness about her that's needed for Su E Huang.

Hurt me? Hahaha. Come on...this is just an exchange of comments. I don't get personal unless people insult me directly. I'm just glad Song Zu Er is playing this role. It could be other actresses for sure, and I sense you're frustrated, but the reality is that it is Song Zu Er, and she did a great job, as proven by the metrics.

Ah. I see the bias. I like Yang Zi too but Song Zu Er nails this role with her beauty and acting just right. There is something kiddy and fragile about Song Zu Er that balances well with the ML here. Anyway, the popularity of this show already proves that the casting is right. I see more praises for the FL than I see negative comments like yours.

Really? I find Song Zu Er is one of the better actresses in her age group. Her other drama, The Demon Hunter's Romance, just ended and she looks /acts nothing like her role there. I don't know what you can't see but I see a lot of micro expressions. It's been so long since I'm so enthralled by someone beautiful and entertained by her excellent portrayal of the role.

I actually like that they make her not super shrewd so she's more likable. I can't with FL who are too smart, they outwit ML all the time and it's not so fun to watch. Their chemistry is well-balanced because they're not always spot-on smart.

It's been such a long time since I've refreshed my social media checking for updates on a drama hastag. I thought I was behind schedule but it seems I've caught up to the latest episode and the waiting is agonizing.

He can act but my beef is that they keep casting him in similar types of roles.
