The modern K-version of this is Tempted starring Woo Do Hwan, Moon Ga Young, Joy, and Kim Min Jae in 2018. I hardly saw anyone mention it, so I guess that version didn't make a huge impression. My favorite of this story is still Dangerous Liaisons starring Glenn Close and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Just imagine if instead of a Josen-type remake, they did a European-type remake. I would definitely be seated.

I didn't find the music lame. Perhaps different expectations if you're used to the Disney type. I usually hate musicals but I love the music for this one. They told very powerful stories. Also, it wasn't light fluff at all. They dealt with a lot of mental/emotional issues.

Prioritize careers why? Cos of fans like that really. Not just about priority. But hopefully, times are changing and we have more fans who are open-minded enough to appreciate the actors for their craft and what they bring to the role.

I like this show. Unfortunately, none of the leads have a strong international fan base to defend the rating. Also, suspect some rated poorly cos they dislike the FL. It's frustrating but let's hope it'll rise above 8 in time.

The fact that this person mentioned specific names means he/she is likely their fan. In any case, I don't remember these actors mentioned being offered multiple roles. But I did read that JCW has been getting many offers and he has had to decline some of them.

No. He has never loved her since childhood. Please watch carefully. He's just being cautious because of how she was when she was young and how he has always been treated by the household members.

Yeah. I once made a mistake of criticizing one of the cast's looks (a side character) and was told off. Since then, I've learned to keep my mouth shut. If I can't stand someone's looks especially in the main cast, then I won't watch. But I never understand why we are allowed to criticize female casts' voice so much. I see such comments in almost every Cdrama. If the voice bothers you so much that it annoys you, just drop the drama. There's no need to come in just to say that. If the dubbing does not suit the character or it affects the acting, then yes, such comments are valid.

Are we allowed to criticize an actor/actress looks? If not, why are we allowed to criticize their voice so much whether it's dubbed or not? If we can criticize looks, then I rest my case. Looks and voice are pretty subjective. I personally find FL's voice suits her here.

If full romance, the script gotta be good and the actress need to match him. But all in, I would love to see him take on a new kind of role.
