When I watched the initial episodes, I was puzzled by her lack of actions against her assistant. But by ep 6, I see they're showing something deeper. Samdal is someone who cares about others even as a child. In all that had happened, the one question she had was, did she bully her assistant? So she was thinking with her heart all this while.

She was successful or so she thought...yet, her career and reputation crumbled overnight and those people whom she thought rooted for her never cared for her as a person.
I think coming from Jeju, she is used to people caring for each other but she realized what she thought is success is kinda of empty.

So nah, I don't see it as lazy writing and I don't see anything wrong with the character development if you're talking about Samdal. We're probably going to see her looking for a new identity or rather, accepting who she really is.

After watching ep 6, I was reminded of this: there are so many rich, successful people who are really poor cos they're starving from lack of love, friendship, real and meaningful human connections and relationships.

I'm glad they have a humane explanation for how Samdal handled the controversy. It is not just pure getting back, lashing out, or suing. It's so much deeper.

You've never lived in a village so can understand why you're pissed. Everybody knows everybody in the village. Since they have "less urban activities", this is how they live.

So what? I celebrate his role and I'm happy he gets praised for his versatility and he is the one laughing to the bank. While you can only come here and make such comments. Who is the loser IRL?

Maybe the romance portion does not appeal to all but this show with its highlight on the dubbing industry and Chinese ancient style music and culture is a gem. You may not appreciate it due to your lack of understanding but please don't call it trash. It's so rude to those of us who appreciate the show.

I'm so glad they didn't drag out LTG's insanity making him stupid or the show ridiculous unlike one recent drama. The stupid characters are just side side characters who don't irk me as much. And Ah Ying...I started disliking her but now the show has me liking her. This show is SO good!!!

I like the styling for the 2FL. Looks sporty and fashionable. I like to see how her romance with JM will develop. They definitely look more relaxed and less awkward together.

Ep 1 was ok. Ep 2 was a bit bland. But ep 3 & 4 were awesome. So many laugh-out-loud moments in ep 3 & 4. Gyeong-tae with his stash of money and the seaweed fight were hilarious. The choice of BGM...really gold. And their sniggering and smirking at each other during some of those tiny moments were cruel but quite realistic.

He's a versatile actor. Why must he only do action? Says who?

The language is rather coarse...doesn't sound quality. But I'll watch cos of Lusi.

I don't have a problem with how he is written. I thought they gave a very good indication of why he's like that. So I can understand why he's so unstable given his very low self-esteem due to this parentage. I think it would be too easy to write him as strong and stable as Ruyi just cos he's her disciple. For the moment, he's weak and childish and is in need of some strong mentoring. He might improve once he learns to properly love others.
