On A Journey to Love Dec 9, 2023
Watched up to ep 21. This show is very good and of good quality. Even LTG does not make me feel annoyed even though he's quite obsessed with the FL. You know how some shows take a downward spiral once a character like that appears and make the story toxic to watch. I hope they keep the direction such. But I fear it may turn tragic looking at the opening trailer.

Same genre and some people may feel they're the same but to me, they're not quite. While both have love story…
Not to me. I enjoy both of them. But Hidden Love had more heart fluttering moments for me while this one is interesting because of the play of culture, food, and friendship. The romance of the main leads is quite reserved at the moment.

guys I have one question.....Is this drama gives the vibes of hidden love ....I mean obviously the story is different…
Same genre and some people may feel they're the same but to me, they're not quite. While both have love story but Hidden Love has more witty dialogues and one-liners while this one focuses on Chinese culture and the songs are beautiful. Not forgetting food is also a main topic in this drama.

I thought I was the only one who felt their conversations were too awkward. I think Mo Qing Cheng is still okay…
I like her in Back from the Brink and the Scent of Time. Perhaps she's more suited to play stronger / bubbly characters. She just can't play an introvert as well. It's obviously lacking and unnatural no matter how others are justifying her. As for singing, she's also dubbed but I feel she should emote better when pretending to sing but she isn't. I had problems watching the 1st 4 episodes because of her acting but after I identified it, I just ignored and moved on. The show is still enjoyable.

Actually I can endure her acting although she's not a great actress but that "eating food" all the time is the…
It seems eating is her coping mechanism when she feels frustrated or stressed.

I really want to enjoy this drama for an easy & sweet watch after SOKP and i think i've read the novel before.…
I watch this show for her mainly but she's not as convincing as her other characters in other shows. Perhaps she's not suited to play an introvert. She ain't too bad but there's definitely room for improvement.

Actually, i watch this because of TJC and want to see him act in lovely-dovey scenes, even though the genre and…
I thought I was the only one who felt their conversations were too awkward. I think Mo Qing Cheng is still okay but whenever Gu Sheng lowers her voice to speak to him, I feel she's acting too unnaturally. But other than that, I love the show.

The princess.... another good character growth ever written. Hope she will survive the drama.
Yeah, I'm beginning to like her now. No more cry baby but also no sudden burst of strength or courage. Very realistic.

I was let down by the way it was handled. The fact that she’s a renowned photographer with a successful studio…
I understand your POV. But like I said, it's not a given. Even in the corporate world, not every company feels they need a PR team. Building a social media account does not require a PR team...we have influencers with many followers without PR teams. So what is depicted in the drama is quite realistic. Not wise maybe...but definitely quite realistic.

Having a PR team is not always a given. Since her reputation was always good and she relied on word-of-mouth, all her publicity would have been good so no surprise if she handled it all on her own. She's probably too shock and inexperienced to realize the professional help she needs for such a crisis.

I'm the opposite of you w.r.t. ZY's acting in this drama. I watched her in Back to the Brink and The Scent of…
Yeah, I understand that. Just that the way she acts shy does not come across as natural to me. I guess mine is an unpopular opinion.

VERY GOOD ADAPTATION for Really Really Miss You !!!Tan Jian Ci and Zhuo Ye are perfect as Mo Qing Cheng and Gu…
I'm the opposite of you w.r.t. ZY's acting in this drama. I watched her in Back to the Brink and The Scent of Time and she was great in both. But I found her acting awkward too awkward for me here. The way she softens her voice / acts demure feels unnatural to me. But TJC is a gem!

I haven't seen them yet, but I hope they're released soon. I've already been replaying ep 5 to hear the songs…
I can only find them on YouTube.

lol wait I'm so confused how are they going to go 33 episodes if this is what we got to in episode 4
I watched for both leads but at certain moments, I really wanted to press fast forward. They seem to be focusing on the minute details but they're not hitting me.

I hope the Princess gets stronger and doesn't act like a cry baby throughout. She's so annoying in the inital episodes.
