Dude, it's Wong Kar Wai so all the actor in this series know what happen when they agree to appear in his drama.…
Sigh. This person already made a couple of long rants about the show and nothing in his/her comments made sense. This latest one is extremely rude IMO.
Why don't anyone talk about how they cut 40 to 30 episodes and want more if the Chinese people really want to…
Why must taking dancing lessons = dancing scenes? That's just a simplistic way of thinking. If you read Chinese, then read this about why she was asked to learn dancing in order to improve her portrayal of the role: 辛芷蕾被王家卫要求上两年舞蹈课,脚都快磨烂?换来李李曼妙身姿 https://www.sohu.com/a/749100795_425777
Invest in your drama next time and you can say all you want about the time and resources and the casting of your bias. But right now, what you think is only right in your own mind. When expressed in words, it's gibberish and just sounds like a whole load of bs.
Rare case where a drama gets better, instead of deteriorating, as it goes on. The second half is LEAGUES better…
Right? This one really grew on me with each episode. I hope it maintains till the last. Watching a drama these days can be a gamble...sometimes the drama starts so well and turns out super disappointing either 2nd half or last few episodes.
It is! The plot gets better and better by the episodes and grows on you. But I have to qualify that you have to…
First 2 episodes were so-so for me. I got hooked from ep 3 onwards. But if you want a quick resolution to the work bullying situation, it's not happening but there is an unfolding. Otherwise, personally, I found the story getting better and better by the episodes. I don't mind Sang Do nor Yong Pil's father either that others may have a beef with.
It is! The plot gets better and better by the episodes and grows on you. But I have to qualify that you have to like this genre...cos it's more about the condition of human hearts. There is a nice touch of comedic scenes and some angst. This is not your drama if you're into thrilling or revenge plots.
What a crowd pleaser! My mom thought it's the best show she had watched in years. She gave up the Long Season…
You know what's really killing it? The BGM! All the songs chosen created all sorts of nostalgic feels for those of us who lived that era and grew up hearing them.
If I remember correctly the last scene shows Ah Bao standing on the land he bought for himself and one of his…
I made a mistake! I watched till ep 29 where the last scene was Mr A. When he turned around, it was Ah Bao? I thought that was the last episode! I realized I missed one episode only yesterday and watched it. If I'm not wrong, that scene in ep 29 was a figment of LiLi's imagination cos of what her manager said in the last episode. Would you know?
I finished watching the raw version. I love it. Ah Bao is such a sentimental man with so much love for his friends. But I don't understand the last scene and hope someone has the answer. I searched Douban and nobody seems to be talking about it, which is so strange.
After is amazing performance in Empress KI(2013), this man he hell bent on taking only flop scripts
I disagree on all were flop scripts. In my mind, only one or two. Maybe you just didn't like. And it's very normal for any actor or actress to not always pick scripts that are great in their career. I think the difference for JCW is despite your opinion, he is still very much wanted in the industry. I mean, just look at the number of scripts he's been offered. These are the only ones we know of. I'm sure there are others we don't know.

Anyway, Douban's rating for this show is now 8.4.
