The ratings doesn’t justify the show. It’s not a top-notch show but it definitely deserves higher rating. The plot is interesting enough with some humor (especially funny if you can understand the Chinese idioms...not sure if the translations do justice) and DYX as the cat is definitely worth watching. He's both cute and cool at the same time.

There was this time when LB went to spy on Qui as a cat and Qui flung something at LB. Later in one of their convos, they talked about it so I think Qui knew LB went to his room but he probably wasn't sure he was the cat. But as soon as he saw LB the cat in that outfit , he got the revelation.

I had to stop watching. Don't know if I can persevere with so much of her stupidity.

I think most female viewers dislike FL groveling at the feet of ML so I get you. I was closed to dropping it but after the tables turn, I'm eagerly waiting for new episodes daily.

I was filled with glee watching GX hang on for his life while YQL was driving. Serve him right!

Story wise, LMLMV is better but the chemistry between the main couple in this drama is cuter.

Yes, have seen many comments that she was being shy. But I have seen many shy characters that were played naturally by other actresses. Unfortunately, her shyness was overly awkward. She's just better off playing direct or badass characters.

Zhou Ye is better at badass roles. Docile roles don't suit her. At least here, we know she's pretending to be docile so that's still okay for me.

Ali Baba and his mixed-up idioms are the best part of this show. 😆😆😆

There are one or two pairs in your list I used to long for. But these days, I'm more excited to see which male actor he's paired with. Haha.

I think it got heavy/boring somewhere after ep 22 when they started tackling some moral issues. But it's not that bad. I think somewhere from ep 26, the pace picked up and the drama turned more interesting. But I do agree the initial episodes were more intriguing.

Thank you for explaining! I just thought they were just shady but seems like they're more edgy and grey. Now I'm really looking forward to see how JCW portrays such a character.
