Just finished watching and what can I say? Totally worth it! But honestly speaking, While I love seeing them being sweet together, I prefer their comic comments when they were pitting their wits against each other much more. And can I say that besides Fu Shen, I love all the other characters cos none annoyed me. Maybe of all the side characters I like, Lady Jin and Sea Dragon King were my 2 favorites.

Btw, in ep 38, SL told her master that she lost 2 people she shouldn't have lost. One was obviously XZ but the other is who? Mofang or her father?

I remember he also said he took up the role in PA cos of ZLY.

The scene where XZ came to push Mdm Jin away from SL and Mdm Jin pouting at him is GOLD. Why didn't she hissed at him instead? Hahaha.

Somewhere in the middle. It was acceptable. I mean any hotter I would find it odd too cos XZ is supposed to be more restrained due to his status. Plus in this scene, SL was taking the lead.

Yes! They didn't think he simply wanted fish. And he made such delicious-looking soup and dish with them.

Why do fishermen have to be almost charcoal black looking? LOL. I laughed really hard when our sea dragon king was trying to send XZ tributes including a mermaid. And how is it XZ can cook so well? His culinary skills are really admirable.

I can't watch anything else. Rather rewatch the earlier episodes of this drama when I'm waiting.

It wasn't so bad. At least better than an episode where the fairy sister was playing her brother's memory. Also, Mofang's backstory is needed cos he'll be back later.

I was so screwed by the schedule posted on MDL. I thought there were no new episodes yesterday and proceeded to rewatch the earlier episodes. Only found out when I came here late last night and of course couldn't resist and binge-watched the 2 episodes even though I should have slept earlier. But the fisherman made it worth it.

I think it's just a play of words. Yu sounds like fish and Yi is one. But when XZ said his family name is Yu...it just sounded like fish but did not mean fish in writing. SL was pulling his leg and joking if his name is Fu cos Yu Fu literally means fisherman in Chinese. Yu Yi is probably random.

For me, it's LGX. Cos he has a comical streak, and in this role, that's needed. He displays it subtlely through little nuances and expressions. And his chemistry with ZLY is perfect. I can't think of any other actor...maybe Cheng Yi for those micro expressions but I think in terms of stature, LGX is more suitable for this role. Personally, I can't watch actors who are too skinny, and there are a number of them that look too thin for comfort.

After not watching any previous previews, I went to watch previews for ep 25 & 26 cos we have NO new episodes tonight! XZ is hilarious in the preview of ep 26. Can't wait!!!

You're right! Who plays a character and how he/she looks definitely affects the viewers' perception. Plus other than the narration, we don't see Mofang doing evil so it's not surprising that many are still smitten with him. Even in the novel, he's written as someone morally grey.

Zhao Li Ying's fight scenes are just off the charts! I remember I was drawn into watching PA by her battle scene with the wolves and now this phoenix fight. SO EPIC!!! Why no episodes tomorrow??? 😭😭😭

Oh and that BGM whenever SL makes her grand fiery entrance in a fight scene. I couldn't shake it off. It's stuck in my head and won't go away.
