The mom is quite key in this story so you'll see quite a bit of her. At least she appears in almost every episode.

I think the mom is changing cos she has some sense of security since the family doesn't have to worry so much about finances. With her daughter inheriting the hotel, I supposed she's less anxious and we see her less annoying. She's definitely someone ruled by circumstances and will allow her emotions to get the better of her when she's desperate. Let's hope she'll get more and more bearable in the upcoming episodes.

I don't think I mentioned anything about love at first sight. Understand totally this is a family drama but there's too much drama for it to be considered warm. I think as viewers, we all come with certain expectations. But the toxicity of the mom is too long drawn and overly exaggerated at some points. It's getting tiresome. Then they have to add more drama for side characters too. So while the quality of the drama is pretty good, the story isn't.

So on top of a toxic mom, now there is a toxic ex-husband? The writer must be quite toxic to give us so many shades of toxic.

The Chinese word usually means "man" or sounds nice in online lingo. I think they're praising that his voice sounds nice.

When I watched that scene, I was like....NOOO WAY you wanna sign that! But that story arc turned out okay and I like that the man appreciated her for saving his life. So it wasn't so bad. I wouldn't call her stupid...more like too principled? But I rather watch this character than those really stupid whiny or helpless damsel-in-distress FLs. Her mom..,I think we can all agree she's not only stupid but annoying.

The ML is really not very likable at this stage. But well, we'll see how he redeems himself later. Anyway, I know FL and ML are not blood related but they're considered grandchildren of grandma. Hmm...Am I the only one who finds them weird to be in a romantic relationship?

Depends on your taste. This drama explores emotional growth so the pace is not fast. I would say the quality is good but the plot with the current bf is draggy. Need him to be out and I expect it'll be very watchable.

I think BS is all about clout. When you run a search on google, you can find tickets being sold for the event so perhaps they need to have nominations that appeal so that tickets can be sold out. Acting aside, we can't deny QOT has clout and KSH has clout too. That's why even his co-star wasn't nominated even though so many are saying she carries the show too. Personally, I've had my reservations about one of last year's winners but well, the show had clout and I won't be surprised that factored in majorly in the winning.

Also, I would refrain from comparing the actors as that attracts fan wars that can get really toxic. Fortunately, most people on this board are fans of JCW.

Anyway, I'm encouraging myself that even though JCW isn't nominated, it seems a lot of publicity came out of this rubbish nomination and as a result, perhaps more people will check out his works.

XK can act devious. Not over-the-top and so is not too resentful. But at this stage, he's not likeable either. Well done!

Not true. 3 of them are famous and 1 very popular. Maybe it's just the judges not liking JCW cos he was included in earlier leak but now he's not in the confirmed list. I don't even know who is the one who is being included cos never heard his name. Anyway, let's just get over it cos awards or no awards, he's still highly regarded as an excellent actor in the industry.

I wouldn't be so frustrated if the nominees are better than him but I can see at least one isn't. And I'm not the only one saying so. It's only cos the show he is in is popular.

I'm irritated by something at work but I'm even more frustrated that JCW didn't get a nomination at this year's BS. No wonder it's BS for short.
