I thought worst of evil was good? Didn't watch, but the general opinion?
You're very sharp in your observation! Come to think of it, most people who question his choices are those who loved him in Healer. It's like that's the benchmark and anything outside that role is fail. TBH, I really liked him in Backstreet Rookie because it was a loser role and he portrayed it so well. The story wasn't top-tier but he made it fun to watch.

It was good. It was highly rated as 8.3 on IMDb. Welcome to Samdalri, too. It did quite well with an 8 on IMDb rating and made it to double-digit ratings domestically, which means the script must be doing something right. Just that for every good show, there will always be people who don't like it because of personal preference, so it's not a script issue.
AvenueX says ABAY end goal is for two people to kiss. This so call critic has psychological issues I think. When…
Best to not even call her out by her name cos there will be curious people who will google and then contribute to her views. Just put short form or something.
He was harsh in the novel too. She’s an idealist and a noob. I quite like it, I don’t want him to soften To…
I'm ok with him being tough and all but I thought in the latest episode, he was unreasonable. The alpha overdose doesn't work for me. I hope she toughens up and give it to him one day.
Not really liking ML's behavior in the latest episode although I understand he's trying to toughen FL up. But I'm secretly hoping she'll make him pay for this one day. Haha.
I used to really love JCW but I haven’t enjoyed any of his shows since, I don’t know-maybe The Sound of Magic.…
Is it his choice of script or just purely your taste and preference? His recent dramas have been doing well so the scripts can't be that bad. I know of so many shows which are blockbusters but I won't watch because I know I dislike that kind of plot but do I say the script is bad? It's just bad to me so it's just my personal preference.
He's the best because he owns the characters he plays. I can hardly recognize him sometimes. Even within the same genre, there's always something fresh from him.
it is a difficult novel to adapt (e.g. Rose is only described throught the eyes of men, there is no "male lead",…
This. I found her portrayal as a student too unreal...she does well for a late 20s, or someone in her 30s...but as a student? I tried to get pass that stage but her first romance really turned me off. I had to drop it but cos I wanted to watch her with Wallace, I came back to watch recent episodes on FF mode. This show is far from Meet Yourself which was too excellent. Even the Kdramas in the same genre couldn't surpass.
Is it me or does Ci Sha looks like a younger version of Hu Ge? On another note...started this and watched 4 episodes and it's pretty good. I like the cast thus far. The FL playing Rong Er works for me. I don't always like Guo Jing cos some actors who played his role in the past came across too stiff or too dense but Ci Sha is not annoying me. Haha.
I like Crystal but her role here is too unreal and not likeable for me. I'm up to ep 3 and considering if I want to continue. I want to watch her interactions with some of my fave actors but right now, I just want to fast-forward.
Why is the rating so low? This is an interesting show. Worth watching. Very funny presentation and the angle on relationship they tackle on the show is very unique.
I clearly waited 4 good years for this drama to air, and now that it has, I'm sitting on my remote, afraid to…
It's very good. If you like pitting of wits and are intrigued by mind games, you will enjoy this a lot. If you're looking for action, maybe not so much.
Will we get the same cast if S3 takes another 4 to 5 years to produce? ML for sure but the rest? I'm glad that we saw minimal changes in S2 but even then... But have to say that FX looks so much better in S2. That hair!
I think FL was a bit useless in S1 but in S2, we saw she's quite smart and mature for a princess that used to be sickly and didn't go out much. I'm really glad they didn't make her stupid about her brother.
For those who have read the Chinese novel, can you tell me around where S2 ends in there? I may want to go read it.
He had a genuine strong friendship with Ye Qing Mei - one can feel the admiration. In memory of her he takes care…
Yep, sure we can see how he became proud of FX cos of his behavior etc. But it still doesn't explain the depth of his feelings for FX, especially considering the truth. He was willing to go all out for FX and his feelings runs very deep. There was always a hint of something more than what we can see...which I was never able to put a finger to. So I'm very excited by eggspice's reply and am looking forward to seeing that arc.
I really love the Fan family...the father, mom, sister, and brother. But was there ever any explanation as to why the father loves FX so much even though he knew the truth all along? I mean we can see his genuine affection, pride and concerns but it seemed that it was never explained why he adored FX considering FX grew up away from the family. The sister stayed with him when they were children so can understand their bond...I just never get that part about the dad.
