I’m not getting any chemistry between Nikko and Eli. Eli is all smoldering and Nikko is just kind of blank. He’s kind of awkward in the part. Don’t love the tropes either.

There’s a definite Heartstopper vibe with the animated effects.

I really recommend Gameboys and Hello Stranger as great Filipino BL’s to watch. Just Like the Movies is the best one but the director sexually harassed one of the actors so it’s not PC to watch it. I found that out after I had already seen it.

I know! The Eighth Sense spoiled me with those longer episodes. I’m not sure I can go back to the shorter format.

I am soooo hoping for a season 2 of that show.

So happy we’re on the Khao and First episodes. I know no matter how silly or stupid it might be, they will bring it. I’m here for them, not the story. But it’d be nice if the story is good too, lol.

Totally agree, but some Uncles can be sexy. Case in point: Uncle from Choco Milk Shake was a total snack.

I’d rather they not even bother with the bad kisses. I don’t even need them if they can show their attraction and affection through hand holding, hugs, face touches etc. Our Dating Sim had kisses, but if they didn’t, I still would have loved it because of how cute and affectionate they were together. Again, show they’re just like most other couples. That’s all I ask.

Why did they give Seung Jun such an unflattering hairstyle? It does nothing for him. I’m still more interested in his roommate than him at this point. I’m hoping he gets a storyline too. I’m still getting not much from the MC and the short episodes make it hard to get the story flowing.

They were clearly supposed to be naked and that was visible. The scene was dark, but the fact that they had the scene at all in a KBL was amazing. They showed a gay couple in bed supposedly having sex! That is unheard of for Korea. Maybe the illusion of a sex scene is a first step. Better to have that than nothing at all. I love TMS for the cuddling and sweet scenes, but those men were so swaddled up in sweatshirts and pants, it was ridiculous. Those scenes are important too though because it shows a gay couple being loving and affectionate. These shows help people realize that gay couples are exactly the same as straight couples. I’ll take the scenes in either series over the awful dead fish kisses or weird ear kisses or nothing at all any day.

I love both of those shows as well. But for me, this series hit on so many more levels, that it’s hard to compare them. They’re all really good in their own way and for the time they came out. This show pushed the KBL limit in terms of dealing with mental illness and depression. It also showed more in terms of kissing and passion and dared to show them naked in bed together. That’s a first for a KBL as far as I know and it sets it apart.

Ha ha ha, definitely or at least not comment about what’s going on. I meant more about how supportive they all were. Joon Pyo was a huge help to Ju Hyun in the last few episodes.

I’m curious what your pick for the best KBL would be. No shade intended, just wondering.

Rewatching the show and a few things hit me:
Incredible soundtrack, just stellar. Jae Won blows hot and cold the entire show until he figures himself out and they have incredible chemistry. Tae Hyung is an asshole through and through. Ae Ri, Yoon Won and Ji Hyun’s roommate all rock. Still loved it the second time around. My top KBL thus far.

Yes! It was a great show. Real seeming and passionate kisses. They even dared to show them in bed with no shirts on. Even implying they were naked, gasp!

That is such great news! So happy for our boys and this fantastic series.

Crap, utter crap. Just a mess that barely made sense. They took a great couple with fantastic chemistry and bogged them down in a nonsense plot that underwhelmed and then left them seemingly apart. So bad.
