i like your review of meitantei no okite. a lot of what you said is what i love about my favorite anime Gintama xD they often concern themselves with ratings and audience tolerance for their antics; its great

ahaha i know what you mean; it can definitely get out of control and is indeed crazy! Strangely enough, the only other site im on that's also mostly calm and peaceful is another asian culture-loving community. There must be something special about adventurous lovers of all things asian ;D

You're completely right; thats definitely more disappointing than any overrated drama. I've seen a few times that someone wrote a well-though-out review with valid and useful points, but because their opinion conflicts with the general consensus, their review will have all these people voting it as unhelpful. Other people's bias can move them to just blindly defend their "favorite" without listening to, thinking about and respecting any valid points that the contrary reviewer may have. It would be nice if people learned not to do that..we're here to learn & enjoy discussing dramas; not make everyone agree with us, and make those who dont feel bad...but thankfully most people on here are better than that like you said :] Its definitely a blessing because on most other sites, its the opposite. They make up for the others who arent as respectful.

p.s. like you, hype isnt enough to sell me on something. it might not always be popular, but sadly, some shows are overrated (for all kinds of reasons) and someone has to have the courage and integrity to dare to be honest and speak up about it to help others who think like you. I'm glad you did 8D

I'm glad my review helped! apparently not everyone agrees with what I said *sad face* but what I said is plain as day in the first ep lol; the viewer will either like it or they wont. One thing I dont like are characterizations and quips that are mainly a distraction and dont serve a useful purpose in the story. So I think 'do i see anything in this drama that will make up for this? if not, do i want to put up with this for 16+ more episodes?' I definitely try to make my reviews useful (i.e. my fireworks one) with enough advisory notes to help people be as informed as possible about how they want to spend their time & any potential regrets. So I'm really glad you benefitted. I'm sure you had your reasons for dropping it! ^.~

ahahaha i love ALL your comments under mine in the Faith comment section, and i agree 1000%. I cant believe someone tried to say the hot kiss isnt that important...*nuclear facepalm* ..since the kiss is usually the culmination/climax of a lot of built up feelings and tension, it needs to have some emotion in it; some passion, desire or longing. It should definitely be more than 2 pieces of flesh colliding; more than two people's faces having an accident and the lips just happen to touch, as though they are two 40-yr old virgins being watched

im so glad i revealed you guys' spoilers..i LOVE that kiss in FBRS too! its hands down the best & most realistic kiss i've seen in any k-drama. Instead of being cutesy it was so authentic. Why cant there be more kisses like that in the swirling mass of kdrama being made? I digress..*sigh*

ahah i understand; well i've finished and it was very enjoyable. I just wish seo yuu kyung's face didnt always look like she was going to cry lol and she whined a lot lol..It had a lot of parts that are super fun and entertaining, and then a lot of parts that are super low-energy lol; so there was quite a bit of up and down as opposed to being steady, but it was still fun to watch. The realistic acting was my favorite. I really liked it 8] Pasta was al Dente!

YES! its that scene in the kitchen; he is beyond perfect; i almost cried lol.. it seems like a lot of guys dont understand what it means to *adore* the girl they like like he did; the subtle ways you can show affection that are just as effective/special as obvious things; SO sweet.. Thanks I will; I'll def let you know ^.~

p.s. im on ep. 14 and the 3 female chefs that got fired are really infuriating; i felt that way before but i forgot which episode lol. Even if they thought Chef was being a hypocrite, i dont understand why they think that gives them the right to be so rude & meddlesome? They dont even care that they're messing up seo yoo kyung's happiness, which is bothersome when they claim to be her friends; i almost yelled at the screen "GET A LIFE!" especially the ringleader with the short hair -.- *sigh* i really hope they stop getting in the way

OMG THE END OF EPISODE 10. that scene..my heart exploded. its getting better and better & im so glad im only half way through! im glad i stuck with it; the scenes are so refreshingly natural which is a nice break from sillier drama screenplay. its great 8]
