Yea unfortunately I made the unwise decision of not being able to help my bitterness either and found myself trying to correct one of the crazy fangirls in the IM comments who jumped all over someone who just shared their *accurate* opinion about IM. Everything I said is still true, & those dramas are popular ones fans OBSESS over. At least 4 of those have gotten mixed reviews so im not impressed, like u are w/every drama!

LOL another assumption, I never said I have a problem with the way you write. I was addressing how you claimed you werent "attacking" yet had used all caps and exclamation points to bark at her, which can easily be seen as attacking.
[just] using caps on its own is not necessarily harmful; but what you said combined [with] the caps can easily be taken in a harsh or negative way so the caps and exclamations intensified it.
Its generally understood that when people use caps online, they are doing it to emphasize a point, or increase the intensity of the thought they are trying to communicate. If you perhaps dont agree & arent interested in incorporating that understanding into how you write to people, their unfavorable reactions may result.
So it is indeed "up to you"..to remember the damage & misunderstandings with "just the way you write" if u expect people to care about your advice

..she wrote 1 line, you gave her 2 paragraphs..you might know more about essays. The length plus the caps & exclamation points came across like you were strongly pushing your view and beliefs, rather than gently, [respectfully] offering advice, after 1st maybe asking a question to understand why she made her statement instead of giving orders. Thats what didnt seem nice, & if you do that to someone else on MDL they might tell you so in a way that is everything but "nice".
YES because awards always go to the most deserving shows, right? ;] I'll have fun knowing which dramas to be impressed by, knowing I dont have your problems, ¬ barking unsolicited advice :]

and if the ending is what "let [you] down", why would you want to lecture someone about having the same view? and *assume* that they were dismissing the [entire] show and doing so because of overthinking? i mean she actually said "This show was good at first" lol so she obviously only had a problem with the ending eps, like I did and like you're now saying you did.

I dont have to respect anything, and another part of that homework is understanding that high ratings/fan obsession doesn't always equal good quality. I never said IM was a "bad quality drama", just that it got bad within the last few eps. Anyway, this homework can help you "IF YOU ALLOW IT TO!!" to use your non-attacking all caps warning :]

Lol "8 dramas" are only the ones i've logged on here..while you're trying to scold me about assumptions you've made another one yourself. All you know is the data i've entered on this site. If you want to assume i've only actually seen 8 dramas in my entire life thats on you.
You should "do your homework" before assuming things about others too.
Part of that homework is not believing everything you see on the internet as fact. The truth is you dont know if I've seen in fact even more than you, and have been watching them longer. I wasnt born with an MDL account dear lol which means I'm not going to include what was watched before joining.
And thats good that you've seen 68 (according to MDL - see what I did there?)!

Lol yea IM just became disappointing towards the end, but the first half was really great. I definitely wasnt inspired to write a review, and I write those only out of inspiration. Its one of those shows where most people will think its perfect because they dont understand why they shouldnt (not being exposed to better lol) and the rest of us who *do* see the problems just keep quiet to avoid people trying to convert us lol. Hey I gave it a 7 too.

Thats great to know! I love anything different or out of the ordinary; that was my impression from reading the KoaD synopsis. I cant wait to check it out once all the eps are available.

So saying that we should have a low standard just because kdramas arent "reality", if they are depicting realistic situations and set in a real place, we have a right to care whether its presented in a realistic way or not. Writers and directors choose realistic settings, create realistic characters and write stories rooted in [reality] because those are all efforts to make the audience see it as [realistic]* ..So hopefully the fact that this was different from other dramas "that usually get dragging in the middle" (which means you havent seen a lot of well-written suspense/mystery dramas), won't keep blinding you from understanding what went wrong towards the end and judging this show only based on comparison.(and honestly, there are at least a good handful of dramas of this type that are better quality, so those should hopefully help you be less impressed with IM after seeing those).

instead of being concerned with quality, you seem more excited just about the fact that its a different *type* of plotline than most other kdramas, and the fact that it didnt drag. Just because something's rare or different in its presentation *style* isnt reason enough to sing its praises lol it still has to be executed well, and this wasnt towards the end. the consistency and believability of the story, no matter the context, is the bottom line. What that means is, even in a show about fairies and unicorns, if the fairies and unicorns hate each other for the whole show, showing them getting along great at the end without showing how that happened is unacceptable and still unrealistic [in the context]. Unrealistic NOT because they're fairies and unicorns (which arent real, just like these kdramas ;] ), but because thats incomplete storytelling with holes and loose ends.

its not about overcalculating(which isnt good and can detract from a clear perspective), but since this IS a drama where you are encouraged to use your brain a little bit(since its intrigue and mystery), its about using the intelligent brains we have to process the information and determine whether or not the outcome of events is reasonable...and this show simply lost its believability and became ridiculous towards the end lol. Everything Sarah87 said was right! it got sloppy and lazy, unlike previous episodes that were sharp and intelligent. So please dont attack people who were able to pick up on that.. -.- Not everyone enjoys things by the "not thinking at all" method. Its fun for some of us to apply our brain to the story thats unfolding, ESPECIALLY if it presents itself as a complex, detailed story that requires your brain's participation to follow along and enjoy LIKE IM DID.

i just finished innocent man/nice guy and it was quite a ride (mostly good/ok, but some bad) lol..unfortunately, it didnt make me want to write a review u.u, but i just left my overall impression of it on my friend evony's page, since i told her i didnt feel like writing a review for it lol

not sure what i'll start watching next, maybe queen in hyun's man or Sungkyunkwan Scandal those 2 seem really good. I cant WAIT to see king of all dramas..siwon is hilarious as you've said on your about me, and so adorable. i've seen 2 of his dramas so far. how about you, what have you been loving or hating recently? :]

hey my friend just seeing how you're doing :D hope all is well and you're enjoying whatever dramas/movies you've been watching

although the first half is done so much better than the 2nd half, its nothing you need to rush to watch, so you were right to wait and watch other stuff. the ending didnt match all the exciting events of all the previous episodes, and IF you watch it, I'm honestly gonna need you to fill in the blanks of what the last scenes with ma roo and eun gee and their behavior means because I have no clue what the writers wanted us to think.
the consistent redeeming quality of IM was the main female lead ;]
she can act and boy was her character fierce..loved it.

So I hope this gives you an idea (didnt want to write too much!) but if you'd like specifics dont hesitate to let me know; if so I'm ready to dish 'em out! looking forward to your response :)

ok here we go. so firstly before I forget, the way it ended left a lot of loose ends that [needed] to be explained, unexplained. (kind of like when writers just get lazy and show a happy ending happening without making it clear how it went from a to b to c. in my opinion, it was a lazy, uncreative plot twist towards the end with what happened to kang ma roo)

overall, it was enjoyable/watchable, a lot of the surprises were unpredictable and i LOVE the quick pace. A *significant* event takes place in every ep & there was always something happening so I was never bored or wanted to skip ..but then everything slowed down and eps 17-20 are dragged out unnecessarily making it a chore to finish. not only that, but the main character takes like 1000 steps backwards in ep 19 just when you're enjoying his new and improved backbone..it was ridiculous. all his progress just down the drain -.-

ugh -.-...on episode 19 now, and I am not a happy camper. (you have got to be kidding me!!) im finishing it tonight, but i might not even write a review lol..but you'll get details tomorrow..i'll cover it generally without too many specifics in case you were still planning on watching it.
