Viewed raw, but the assistant dies in episode 18, the Prince and his love die in ep. 23 and the FL gives her life energy to revive the ML in the final episode. But then it turns out that she is reading their story from a book to their daughter. The assistant is alive, too. The four of them live in a house in the woods. Don't know the fine details of what happened. Can't speak Chinese.

The drama is like bunches of quite moving scenes and episodes that are sometimes not very well tied together. Also quite a number of threads left hanging. So the evil Princess steps off the balcony but reappears in the next episode. She says that the FL caught her. Yeah. Too far away and too heavy to catch. Considering Yueqing was the FL's real name, the writers wanted the Princess to say, "I don't have a name. Can you give me a name." That actor that bumped into her doesn't know how to use his eyes. No feeling expressed by them. The ML had a younger sister Yunjiao that died. It was the smaller memorial tablet on the other side of the Father. I thought that having Princess Yueqing being her would be interesting. I guess the dead sister was hand waved to be the unborn child killed with the Mother.

Alas, the scene in the beginning where the daughter suddenly materialized out of thin air bothered me. Perhaps she was able to reset everything to the day of the attack but this time work things out. That's what the last scene with her waking up and the husband fiddling with his two swords may have meant.

And the FL says "...your return." not, "go to you or join you."

About the Father, I understand his actions to protect his daughter, But an old campaigner like him would have anticipated and accepted that his Army would/could be taken away. He had time to mentally prepare for it. And his loss would be balanced by helping his daughter. He could have been executed. Thank you.
