Remember what CS said in ep. 2. The wild cat must be lonely so he'll play with him.
Actually we don't really know what he was doing for the three years from the stabbing until he showed up as the White Cat. Be interesting to find out. I like CS a lot. Would have been nice if the counselor's sister had stayed to help around the Li Mansion. But it would be a distractor. This is about broship.
Useful, yes. Idiot, I would beg too differ. This is about Mingjing Hall, so she keeps her distance and lets them…
It's the writers fault for inserting her to please the censors. And China's ban on BL dramas are at fault, too. I read that she wasn't in the original web novel. She is there but not really there. We don't really see how she solves her own section's cases. She has seniority, but not really his boss.
Shangguan acts like a useful idiot...who is she anyway?
Useful, yes. Idiot, I would beg too differ. This is about Mingjing Hall, so she keeps her distance and lets them handle things on their own. I wonder if Gen Qiu will make a move to marry her? Her Father is a powerful person.
Hey soryuu, glad to see you in here too. I was planing to watch this but but the first episode didnt rope me in.…
Why I like it. Not everyone shares my likes. In ep. 2, Li Bing, the White Cat treats Chen Shi to a meal before he intends to part ways with him. Chen Shi asks about the White Cat that Li Bing says ran away and LB snaps at him asking why is he still wants to raise the cat. Chen Shi say that the wild cat is smarter than other cats and probably won't get along with them and might be lonely. Chen Shi says that he will raise the cat and play with it so it won't be lonely. By Li Bing's hand movement, you know he hit the nail on the head. Chen Shi sees more than he tells and often sees more than he understands, but he leads with his heart. The Mingjing Four may seem hapless, but they just need to fit their strengths to fill in each other's weakness'. I like the direction that they are going in. The end of ep.1 hooked me in.
I think he is the red cat or the person with the dark furry paws. I believe that he gave Li Bing his powers. I'm…
I think that killing happens when he loses interest in someone. Something about Li Bing intrigued him, I suspect So after Li Bing was knifed by the assassins, he was saved and transformed by Hua Zhi Yi. I wonder if he was the leader of the assassins that killed his Father and Family.
He is uncomplicated and rustic but not stupid. He has caught Li Bing on several errors like in ep. 2 at the restaurant…
I like him and he makes a good pair with Li Bing. Later he will share Li Bing's secret. That helps the story. He starts as a kind of Alfred but with apparently much less smarts. He will become a member of the Mingjing four or rather five with him, so he will show his ability.
I'm only at episode 2, but does the character of Chen Shi get any less brainless? I'm okay with a bit of silly/comedic…
He is uncomplicated and rustic but not stupid. He has caught Li Bing on several errors like in ep. 2 at the restaurant when he asked how Li Bing knew that he couldn't read. He has a good heart. He trusts that people are always telling him the truth. Trusts too much.
There's a lot and I'm still adding to this list (like Bee_Bee said, I've enjoyed my fair share of Li Fei's mini…
I think it is the writer director combo of Zhao Lin and Zheng Qing Jie that made The Killer is Also Romantic, A Familiar Stranger, Provoke and Butterflied Lover so good. Butterflied Lover was their last and was very enjoyable, save the first minute or so of the last episode. I really like Blessed Bride with Amy Sun.
Someone else killed Cui Yan? Sorry, I'm on ep 24 and having a hard time to get back into this especially after…
It may not be important but the arrowhead Yuzhi used has flat sides but the one stuck in Cui Yan's neck has a ridge running on the head. Could be different props. But I think that it makes no sense for Yizhi and Chang Yuqing to have a real blood vendetta. Chang Yuqing dies, the Changs and Cui families wage war on Nanxia Kingdom. Yizhi dies and PM Lin has his daughter take over the kingdom. Who could have killed him and not arouse Yuzhi's suspicion or comment? His 'loyal' bodyguard. When you get to ep. 30 this might be more clear.
PM Lin is showing his true colors. He has designs to control the throne by his daughter having Yizhi's son. Someone said that a general amnesty is given upon the Emperor's wedding. So that would be her and Chang's out. I suspect that Lin's son, who appears to be Mu Gai killed Cui Yan. I also think that PM Lin was behind the killing of Mai's Parents, as the reason has not been revealed yet.
I really like Blessed Bride with Amy Sun.
