Too bad the release of English subs is very slow. and kinda irregular. Has anyone seen ep. 24? What is the fate of the sister? Does she pair up with Ah Lin?
I've watched 4 eps & found it a bit boring. So does it gets better or not?
The courtship with the main couple is slow and is partly explained by trust issues. ML's Mother, his sister and Ms Bai, their family physician all interfere in Nanxing's life. The Mother as a Marquis, marryng the wrong person that the Emperor doesn't approve of will make life very difficult. So as his Mother, she would drive a wrong women from his life. Xinbai says that he cannot trust anyone as he cannot clearly see their face. That thread is one of the things that make me re-watch episodes. I think that upon re-watch, it is much better. Re-watching ep. 16 for the fifth or sixth time. She tries to understand what it is like to live his world.
I don't know but from episode 10, Yan Nan Xing character is just not giving. Currently on episode 12, and she…
Their relationship has to be up and down for the three separations, but in ep. 16 her character is good. She tries to understand his world with face blindness. Very moving and sweet. And ep. 21 has the 'fight.' Very enjoyable.
I watched till episode 36 and, after this comment I'm out of here till the end because I'm seeing people already…
Sai'er may have still been with Commander Shang outside the city and the Zornia may not have been in Blossom Beauty very long. If you've watched until the end, these answers might be redundant, but the Zornia was stored, maybe not that much was stored, to separate Nanxing from Xinbai, as Blossom Beauty being exposed as being involved with the Zornia trade meant that both would be executed. His plan was to take her away and leave Xinbai holding the bag and busy defending his family. But he didn't expect to be double crossed by the Dean. Nanxing could have fought better, but the needles depend on surprise, I'm thinking. Suoluo and Ruoqian's story probably had much left on the editing room floor.
I was waiting for it to be finished.I want ask from viewers...1.Who fell in love first?2.Who realised their love…
1. Perhaps ep. 3, 11:40 where the Xinbai roughs up those louts dissing the Doctor whose crestfallen face could not be seen by him. 2. Ep. 16 when Nanxing put the cloth before her face and Xinbai wonders if she was trying to imagine his world. 3. Perhaps ep. 20 where Xinba willingly gets beaten up and stabbed to get Nanxing released. After that sh e cries at his bedside and tells him not to do it again. 4. Nanxing takes Xinbai to meet the Great Witch fortune teller where she says that the FL will have another chasing her but the ML, not so much. 5. The Heroes usually come out on top, but it's tough being a witness. 6. Yes, the strong silent type who trusts Nanxing, usually.
I didn't expect a different color for her, she looked beautiful in itπ
I looked up the significance of green in contrast to red wedding attire and red means happiness, good luck and celebration. Green means vitality, hope and harmony. Other colors represent different meanings. Look it up.
I enjoyed this a lot and will re-watch it again and again. Some thoughts partly from reading some comments. I think that saddling Xinbai with face blindness and a rather sober personality when interacting directly with Nanxing made some people say that the chemistry was lacking. i think that Xinbai should have shown more facial reaction akin to a blind person. There are certain innate facial expressions common to blind and non-blind people. Not all facial expressions are visually learned nor dependent on seeing the other person's reaction. Have Xinbai show no reaction to facial expressions but respond to the speaking and also the context of the dialog. I also thought that Commander Shang should have retained some of his stick up his wazoo personality when he was falling for Sai'er, who should have retained her rough uncultured personality. She should kept some clothing or mannerism to contrast with the city women. His love for Gaya could also have been a stumbling block that kept him apart from Sai'er. I also think that Suoluo should have been more active in resisting her engagement with Yan Biqing. She should also have actively chased Ruoqian against the wishes of her Mother and her family. It would have matched her "take no prisoners war" with her brother. And it would stand in contrast with the other two couples. Just my two cents worth. I did enjoy the drama very much.
Almost done with Ep 37 and I just don't get why Ms Bai has been so against YNX. Do we get answers on why?
I suspect that Ms Bai was fiercely loyal to the Princess and because the Princess initially didn't like Nanxing and had to settled on her as a sort of Hobson's Choice she kept trying to get her out of the way. That with Nanxing out of the way, Xinbai could marry a proper person. The ending of ep. 38 shines some light on her feelings. It wasn't really about hating Nanxing but serving the Princess.
