The original is grittier. This one is sweeter. Depends on your taste or which one you watched first. I watched this first and have re-watched it many times. The original only once. Hope that this might be useful.

It is a remake of Meet Me @ 1006 (Taiwanese original story) . The original is grittier and there is a triangle. The Chinese version is sweeter and the romance is pretty good. imho
