You should definitely start watching IPYTM . All I can say -cause I don't want to spoil the series further to…
I agree with almost everything you said. Oh-Aew was such an inspiration in both ITSAY and IPYTM especially in IPYTM. I think I enjoyed ITSAY and IPYTM almost equally.
I'm just gonna ask here cause no one is answering on the IPYTM page. Ok so I finished ITSAY a while ago and have…
I just finished watching IPYTM and I absolutely enjoyed it. I would say, yes, you should watch it. It is a part of Teh and Oh-Aew's journey. Without giving away too much, I'll say that relationships are extremely tough. Love while important is NEVER enough. Relationships go through ups and downs. IPYTM is realistic in that sense. Also PP Krit is amazing in this. There are some fictional characters that leave a permanent impression on your life. Oh-Aew was that character for me. Oh-Aew is my damn hero. Will always remember this character.
I remember that scene. It was lovely how Pat immediately put his hand behind Pran's neck to protect him.
Yup its the protective instinct similar to the right arm (or left arm if you drive on the left side of the road) reflex passenger save while sudden braking. I've seen and experienced women doing it though. Men not so much.
“only gay for each other" trope was broken or as you called it "i'm not gay, i just like u". It was made clear…
OMG you are absolutely correct and this is a big one. There is so much romanticization of sexual assault that happens in Thai BL dramas (TharnType anyone?, also Love By Chance) and that trope was broken. Bad Buddy is a role model in how important consent is in a relationship, to the point that Pat even asks Pran if he may kiss him.
Haha. I guess they must be. Drake is such a superstar. Love Drake. And did you know he is ripped? He was shirtless in one of the shows and I was like Damn Drake, you ripped boy!
honestly, one of the best shows ever. it isn't cringey and is probably the first to break many of the stereotypical…
“only gay for each other" trope was broken or as you called it "i'm not gay, i just like u". It was made clear that the characters have distinct, queer identities outside of their attraction to and love for one another.

"toxic male masculinity and casual misogyny" trope was broken. Pran calls Pat out when he makes a gendered joke about their roles as “husband” and “wife.” “Does calling me a wife make you feel superior?” asks Pran, pushing back against Pat’s casual misogyny. “You don’t need to call us husband and wife.”

"homophobic parents are the villains" trope was broken. Both sets of parents are supportive of their children's sexuality and the parents are never treated as villains.
