What happened?! The first half was pretty fun, but the second half... I barely managed to get to the end. It feels like to different series. Out of the blue, several characters just change 180 degrees only to move the series forward. 7/10.
HELPPPP!! I cannot get thru the first 5 episodes. I love Liu Yuning and I want to see him in the mask. BUT THE…
I don't think it is the actress' fault. The script was made like this and she has to work with that. Only complain I have with the actress is that ,for me, it seems like she had her face done (eyes and nose) and I found myself pausing different scenes only to see better. As for Ester Yu, I don't think this drama would have work for her. I found LGEF more boring that this one. There are other better scrips for her. And if Ester would have joined this drama, can you imagine the budget needed??? This way they kept it decent, as the FL is not the powerhouse Ester is.
This show is in a league of it's own. So much fun!!! Can't wait for next season. Hope all the girls remain in the new season and we don't see a new harem happening.
First couple of episodes were good, but midway got boring that I had to convince myself multiple times not to give up. Sometimes I had the impression that I was watching another drama and we switch between them.
The thing about medical cases is that they are subjective from country to country due to different work culture,…
I don't know when the drama was filmed but I know that doctors in Korea are having a hard time and many interns have second thoughts on becoming a resident doctor. Maybe that is what they wanted to show. But I see in most countries a crisis of doctors and nowadays MANY but MANY doctors refuse to do OB/GYN or others dangerous or bloody medical specialties. And medical dramas that have been accurate: Chicago Hope, ER, The Knick to name a few; all western. I have yet to see an eastern medical drama that is better then the ones mentioned above, but I am still trying to find one :))
Is that how you feel about most medical dramas or just this one? I'm curious. My understanding is most medical…
Most dramas exaggerate things to make them more dramatic or better said more appealing to the public. Growing up in a family of doctors and then becoming one myself, I enjoyed medical dramas because their were pretty fun and had some interesting cases (Chicago Hope, ER, The Knick that is more recent) but nowadays you really have to see who the target audience of the series is. Because shows like this one, Grey's Anatomy, Good Doctor, Chicago Med, their main purpose are not the cases (as they were in House) but they are more soap-opera style. And let's be real you don't have the time and it is not hygienic to hook up in the hospital :) I like Korean medical dramas like Ghost Doctor, The Doctors, Dr. Slump, Emergency Couple, Live Up to Your Name. But I find in them the same problems as in the western ones. Japanese medical dramas or Chinese ones are the hardest to watch as in most of them the confidentiality doctor-patient is so easily overwritten only for the plot to unfold (for example: somebody has a medical problem and everybody finds out about it from the doctor/nurse). While I still do enjoy medical dramas, as a doctor I can't close my eyes when something dumb or out of the ordinary happens. And that is why I am so critical on most of them :) That doesn't mean they shouldn't do medical dramas like this one or others that I have mentioned, but a little bit of attention to details is needed. And maybe, just maybe, a child seeing a medical drama decides to become a doctor and cures some incurable disease.
lol, everyone applies based on if they can get the sight of blood?? really dude? many of my friends fainted from…
Did I said they were lead surgeon?! I did not say/write such a thing as I am not blind and saw the whole series. If you know medical school/residency, you know that most 1 year residents do the paper work before/after surgeries, stay in the back in surgeries as the leading surgeon and the older residents are the closest to the patients, they are not second hand and they do not go in other departments and consult and give their opinion there. And there are other small stuff too but anyway... "everyone applies based on if they can get the sight of blood?" YES. In medical departments were blood is an important issue. Because if you can't control yourself in a surgery/emergency situation... let's say bad things can happen for EVERYONE there. And you can't finish your residency because not professor will give you a pass.
Everybody can have his/hers opinion. Here is mine: I enjoyed it but it was a decent drama at best. As a doctor and with an obstetrics and gynecology doctor in the family, the cases were boring and uninteresting and not what you normally see in an OB/GYN and not what 1 year residents usually do. The medical terms even a medical student knows them (most of what was in the show) but here residents don't. In 1 episode Pyo touches her lips after getting her hands with blood. In what Universe does that happen as a doctor?! And residents who are afraid of blood/seeing blood but opted for OBGYN??? If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen! What was the overall direction of the show?! If it doesn't get a 2 season it feels like an unfinished story. I don't know what the end message was. It ended but it was like reading a book that suddenly is over but the action hasn't started yet. The drama was nice but the medical part was killing me. The actors were good and I like them but for me....something is missing in the show. 7/10 thanks of the actors.
The start and the middle were good. But the end part was boring and predictable. I know it didn't have a big budget, but for Christ's sake if you (as in the director and the people in the production) see the actress playing a cripple moving her legs ...have another take on that scene!!!
I will divide the series in 4 parts. First 2 were pretty good. The 3rd part became boring (misunderstandings that became repetitive and not funny at all; I was actually hoping the leads will go their own way)) but the last part was difficult to overcome. I really don't get it what has happened to the series. Some characters were pretty interesting but some were there only to fill the space. And the ending was not satisfying at all. Bad guys get only a slap on the wrist?!
For me, the first 40 eps were decent for a 100+ drama, but after that... Characters changed so much that I felt like I was watching brainwashed people. The father's guilt is something that I can't get over with. I mean, man, how is it your fault that ML's father is dead and you feel guilty to the extent that you nearly destroy your family by resigning and moving away?! Ok, it is a weekly drama but can we please write something that makes sense from begging to the very end?! And can we please punish villains accordingly to their actions?! The romance between the main leads was not there. I couldn't feel it at all. I don't know if it were the actors or the script but I found everything forced.
A decent drama with an inflated score. A doctor that accepts the job of a secretary...why? Aaaa, for the plot to happen. And the characters were childish as hell. Let's say that people can act like that in collage but a +25 person ( a doctor and a president)?! And the FL was naive, not knowing anything about life. I mean if her father died early in her life, she should have matured faster, but she looks like she lived in a bubble/under a rock/in a cave. Don't get me wrong, you can have a pleasant time watching the drama but you need to turn your brain off.
Sigh, I will diverge here from others comments….but this script is not good at all. Initially, I thought it…
I just finished it and man oh man it was a masterpiece 10/10. Just kidding. It was an ok drama if you need the time to pass (with FF button to boot). But 7.8 and so many great reviews (this fooled me to start watching it)... I truly don't get it. This was like a shouju anime/manga for girls of 13-14 years old. It is an easy drama but has so many flaws in the script. I see many good dramas with score lower than this.
