It has the funniest ending ever seen by me in a short drama. He kills the female villain, then dies and then comes back to life for his loved one as the female villain. Super funny. Although you could argue that it is an open ending, for me it is enough. Computer games characters should stay in games and not be foolishly loved by real persons.

The ending was the same as the original source so you can't really complain. If a movie is an adaptation of a book/comic I prefer the original ending, not something invented by the drama writers. I love Kunning palace (probably best C-drama in my eyes) but I don't understand what you say by "endings like kunning palace has"
The director or the screen writer could really let ML find the antidote and need nit let him die with the poison.…
The drama from the start seemed to me to be a feminist drama, so the outcome was visible from miles away. The drama wanted to show the power of women but for me the jump to the second arc in the desert and at the end the redemption of ShiJiu are too much. As for dramas that tend to end badly... I feel you and I suggest you start a drama after you know the outcome.

The way I see this drama is as a feminist drama. So in the end he will die and Duan Wu will move on as being a businessman. I want a happy ending too, but we won't get one.

In my opinion it is a happy ending but not as a couple. For me it is clear that he died. But she accepts it and moves on with her life. The last second, marks her remembering him and missing him, not her seeing him alive.

Thanks. It is in my plan to watch it but after this drama I don't want to start an unfinished drama until i know that it has a good ending. I can cope with only one bad drama per week. PS: Beautiful Lie started funny too, but got really bad and dark.
2 out of 3 couple are good but ML gets kidnapped and probably dies, so only secondary couples make it till the end. FL has hallucinations with him after that. It is a very F.U. to the viewers from the writers. Waste 36 hours only for ML to change in the last couple of episodes and then die. So the "Beautiful Lie" was that the ML is still alive at the end of the show
If I chop the last episodes from my mind, the drama is around that figure, but with the last episodes....I can't even rate it. Always wondered what the lie was. Now I get it but I don't find it beautiful at all.

After writing the message, I watched "Wolf Girl and Black Prince" (2016) and started "Lost and Found" so I managed to sleep 5 hours. But I my mind drifts to this drama...I get angry again

It was an ok series... but for the ending. Man, was this series a time-waste. So many questions left open. Why was Qi Xuan in the hospital if she wasn't the one hit by the car? And much much more. I will delete the last ep in my mind and create a new one, more satisfying for me.
