I'm sorry for the being the odd man out. But, ep. 11 made no sense, even for a dramatic pause. I guess the fantansy is that everyone is so in love that they're voluntarily going to jail. That's a BS plot that was done probably for fanservice. There were many better ways to be a penultimate ep. than this. Shame on you GMMTV!
From the MDL ratings, it looks like folks either really liked it or really disliked it. Hmm! For me, I'm not really sure what I think about this series. There were things about the series that I liked (such as the friendships), things I disliked about it (such as the cringy controlling stuff), and some things I'm still on the fence about (such as Earth's and Bas' acting in this series). Either way, it was, IMO, an ok series.
It was kind of light-hearted, kind of romantic, and kind of comedic. There really wasn't any toxicity (other than the cringy creepy way Jo treated North). I think that part of the plot (Jo/North) rubbed me the wrong way the most, even though I thought their pairing was the most interesting in the series. I said "interesting" not "good" or "best." The other thing in this series that I think was a downer was the number of episodes and the pacing of the episodes after episode 7 or 8. I kind of thought that the story could've been wrapped-up in mucdh fewer eps.
Finally, I think the series would've been far more interesting (and a little bit more entertaining) if the series had stayed clear of the well established BL tropes (i.e., med students/engineers, dominant/submissive, and wealthy/poor). Also, what seems to becoming an extremely potent trope that s developing in BLs is the compulsive, almost obsessive desire to stalk, take secret pics, search online, and post anything under the sun on social media. It may be true that social media has become a dominant and highly influential force in many societies, but BLs seem to take it to a whole other and extreme level.
Hmm! If the "preview" was accurate, then there's only a couple of ways the producers are going to pull off this season 2: 1) Some kind of supernatural intervention. Remember, the original Pit Babe had the supernatural vibe going anyway -- characters with powers, special abilities, etc. OR 2) Charlie faked his own death, possibly Tony and/or Way faked their own deaths as well. Actually, I guess it could be some combination of both ideas. I guess we'll have to see! LMFAO!
We're into ep. 7 and this series is still going back-and-forth with the "maybe/maybe not" relationship of Po and Thame (with the added "whatever" from Jun). The plot (if there is one) is starting to drag. IDK, but something is missing in this series.
So the story between Mail and Petch starts with rape and the story between Chinthai en Jomjai starts with Chin…
The answer is simple. Sex sells, and this type of sexual exploitation really sells. In other words, too many folks like these kinds of plots, unfortunately.
No it's true wh are u saying I need a good story and stop doing the same couple change we already know the chemistry…
There's lots of ways to spice a couple getting together without one sexually exploiting the other. I think the writers and director took the easy way out. In the west, we call that lazy writing! 😆 🤣
I just rewatched this series and it's as good and bad as it was 2 years ago. In '22, a lot of folks gave the series a pass because it had a mafia theme and all bets were off regarding anything that happened in the series. IMO, that BS! I liked the series. But I hated some of the sh*t portrayed in the series, even if it's a mafia theme. I'm mainly referring to the rape, the noncom S&M., and some of the sick and depraved sh*t thrown in for "entertainment?" But to each his own.
This series is hilarious! And I love it. But I don't know if it can continue to be as hilarious with the same or similar comedic scenes in each ep. for 9 more eps. OMG! That would get monotonous at best and extremely irritating and boring at worst. These types of over-the-top comedies just weren't designed to run past 8 or so eps.
