I get it. The "intent" of this BL is to put the plot first. However, after watching today's ep., I'm not sure that there is truly a plot, just a seemingly endless series of misdirections and whodunit twists. This series seems to be ALL over the place, not only with its plot but with its characters. However, the acting isn't bad, but IMO the story is. It's trying, IMO, to legitimize or downplay the complex issue of euthenasia, all while doing it in a whodunit fashion. Wow! I think that's a bit much! LMFAO!
Really? I think Joong's character is the most interesting one, while style is annoying! Also, Dunk is the least…
Actually, I was mostly referring to their characters instead of their acting abilities. π I.E., Bison and Style completely have Kant and Fadel "begging for more!" LMFAO!
imo bad writing plus only 8 eps is not enough. In the book Thiu takes a lot longer time to trust Kan, but they…
WOW! I kind of had a feeling about the BOTH of them. The series is trying so hard to be mysterious that it's failing in the basics. Thanks! I had thought about dropping it, but now I'll stay for the conclusion.
As I ponder "what's missing" in this series, one thing that comes to mind is "bad writing!" IDK if it's the bad dialogue or bad translation into English, but there is something definitely missing. For example, why would Thiu, a supposedly smart (albeit naive) detective trust Dr. Kan to be honest with him? They don't even know each like that. They've just met AND Thiu is suspicious of Dr. Kan. That's an example of either poor writing or poor translation.
Even though I have mixed feelings about this series -- I still think something is missing. LOL But to be honest, Khaotung and Dunk's characters (especially Dunk, IMO) are rocking their respective seduction routines (both in their own ways). First and Joong's characters NEVER stood a chance! Yeah! LMFAO!

wow dunk's acting has vastly improved and is carrying this series.
Agreed. Dunk seems to have really improved with this series, For once, he's NOT playing some dimwitted airhead. IDK, I just wish at least once in the Dunk/Joong ship, that Dunk is allowed to be the dominant character (and I don't just mean the seme/uke stuff).
Good question. Well Thiu is presented as a detective captain from a a bid city back in a small town. But, in the first three eps., he's not exactly behaving like a detective, allowing easy clues, cues and suspicions get by him. Then he's easily swayed by the flirtations of Dr. Kan, whom he doesn't really know and has suspicions. In other words, everyone else in this series seem to be way ahead of Capt. Thiu.
This series is ok. But, there's something missing and I can't figure out what it is???? Maybe if this series didn't make Captain Thiu seem to be so "inept" it would probably flow a little bit better. IDK Just something's missing.
This series is obviously a knock off to Manner of Death. I guess we'll have to wait and see if it's better or worse. Right now, it's hard to tell. But, I do know it will be difficult to do another bait-and-switch like MOD did. We're already hip to the probability that it isn't Dr. Kan. So, I guess the next best suspect is the Director. Hmmm?
