This first ep was entertaining. I just wished this production company would've back off on some the age old tropes and stereotypes. It's 2024 and lgbtq+ marriage is legal in Thailand. Geez!

You make valid points. And true, different individuals have different tastes. However, the writing, acting, and plot of the series mentioned are superior to Jack and Joker. But also, those other series mentioned are actually BL "dramas," while Jack and Joker is closer to being a "BL action comedy-drama." So, in that reference, there shouldn't even be a comparison. I mean they're basically two different types of BL series, and BL comedy-dramas or action comedy-dramas tend to be a little less on plot, acting, cinematography, etc. and more in just trying to keep the audience entertained.

Okay. I will be the one who says it. I really like this series. But, this ep. was a total "let down" and not worthy of the other eps. I know it was done to build up to the finale. But again, it was too contrived, silly, and didn't follow the plot established so far. However, I still will watch the finale, Because I want to see how they resolve all of this.

True. But, ancient tradition held that "whoever" holds the ring holds the power. It's not really about who owned it before, but who has it now. I think the writers tried going too deep with the idea.

I'm not sure about what was meant in the novel. But, it's been a long held tradition in ancient Asian empires (and even in today's Japanese Yakuza) that the one who holds the "ring," holds the power. The concept is similar to a King or Queen wearing a crown in the eastern cultures.

Wow! This series is really giving us greatness not seen since Not Me or KinnPorsche! But, how will they tie up all the happenings in just three final eps.? We know Jack and Joker will have to go thru a last final "struggle" before they can be ultimately be happy. But what about the other subplots -- What happens between Arun and Tatoo? What did the fortune cards actually mean? Does Joker and his dad ever reconcile? What about Hope and Save? Does Arun reconcile with his dad (as evil as his is)? Finally, what's up with Nang? I have a feeling she's a vital part of the series finale.

Some folks had a problem with the toxicity and non-communication that was evident throughout the series. Yeah, it did have problems in that area. But, the series was more on the light-hearted side, so I think most folks just ignored the disliked parts.

Good luck. I've decided to drop it. Maybe I'll binge the rest of it later.

I've watched some pretty bad BLs. But most of them at least got a "little" better as the series progressed. This one has NOT. Its boring pace, bad dialogue (writing), and many toxic and abusive undertones just make tanking this series, IMO. Yes, there are attractive guys, and if that's enough for you, more power to you. But for me, the series needs to at least be entertaining, and it is not.

Another engineering-based bl with a mix of older actors playing younger roles, and a few younger actors playing older roles. Some quasi-classic ships and a few newer ones are apparent in this series. However, it would seem it will entail the same old classic tropes and stereotypes, just this time it has ALOT of pretty faces. Well, at least the pretty faces will most likely keep folks watching, even if the plot sucks (and from the first ep., it appears to be headed in that direction).

P.S. With so many mains, couples and eps., is this series supposed to be an anthology? It seems like it, but im not sure.

I think it goes back to those old and outdated Thai stereotypes and tropes.

Hmm. Interesting. I've long believed that as well. Curious again. Do you believe it's the males or females in the BL world who don't want the top/bottom stereotype to die? Or is it both?

P.S. Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with people getting redemption. But I also believe that every now and then a little payback could be dished out before receiving that redeemption. In other words, make them earn it!
