For many years, we women who read heterosexual novels complained about the same thing: women always being saved…
In other words, GLs seem to be "evolving" in a rapid pace and BLs are not. Although there has been recent progress -- but the production houses seem to always go back to the "tried and true" tropes and stereotypes. OMG!

I must agree again. Lately, it seems that GL couples (when there is one in a Thai BL), as well in GL series are becoming "stronger," more "independent" characters, instead of the traditional persona of being weak and in need of help or support of a male.
I get it. This series is more like a lakorn than a traditional BL. But as much as I like it, it still irks me that this series follows the same old trope-filled, stereotypical, and backwards mindset indicative of 20+ years ago. This is 2025! Geez! It seems that now, only in the Thai BLs, all male lgbtq+ couples are made up of "dom/sub," "top/bottom" paired themes (as if the couple themselves can't decide who's who in their relationship or even change things up every now and then).
And just for all of the BL writers out there, not all "subs or bottoms" (or whatever character you choose to make them appear) are weak, effeminate, or incapable of standing up for or defending themselves! But I guess the writers and producers of Thai BLs know their audience and play to that. Oh well, such is life. LMFAO!!!!
I'm not an expert, but I would say yes, because even two Omegas can be mates. Enigmas are kind of new and they…
Thanks! You cleared up a couple things that I was wanting to know. I'm new to the ABO genre and doing my best to better understand it all. But I do like the fact that it definitely doesn't fit the traditional BL mold.
Unfortunately, many who view these series believe, fantasize and even attempt to duplicate what went on. There…
I couldn't have said it better myself! Totally agree with the Rain/Payu synopsis ( less we not forget that Payu messed with Rain car to start that sh*t). Creepy and cringy! But many fans luv'd it! Like I said, there's some f*cked up folks in this world!
Rewatching this after it's been a few years has not changed my mind. This series is really messed up. If not for the cute actors and the hot sex scenes, it would probably be shunned. MAME either really knows her target audience or she's really f*cked up in her writing style. This series reeks with all of its toxic behavior, the SA, the stalking, and so much more. Although it's just MAME's fiction, all too many folks believe it's real! Wow!
Too bad you felt that way! Obviously it's not for everyone. But this show definitely deserves all the hype. It's…
I agree with you that everyone is allowed their own opinions, etc. However, IMO, he makes a valid point. With a BL starting with r*pe, SA, etc. as its first ep, is kind of out there, unless that was the original intent, which kind of lets you know what kind of series this will be. Hmm!
Geez. Another past-period BL where the production company went all out with the tropes and stereotypes. Since this series is set in the early 1960s, I guess it's ok???? I think I'll pass and maybe binge it later.
okay i finally finished this and it was actually really good, really loved the way this series was directed. I…
Actually, IMO, the pitiful award goes to the other "Joe" Sophonpatima who Joe was in his body getting another chance at life. Everyone seems to forget about him.
I re-watched this series to see if my initial dislike of the series had changed. Well, it did not. It was just as bad the second time around. The character of Elyse was still creepy, cringy and weird. The character of Pat was still dull and wimpy. TBH, I'm glad I thought it sucked the first time around, because it's now confirmed.
