If you’re new to MDL allow me to give you a tip: don’t take any negative comments you find here too seriously.…
Interesting recitation! Unfortunately, you are probably about 98% correct. I would respectfully disagree with the last 2%, "their opinion means a g*ddamn thing." Actually, it "does," just not to you or I or anyone who thinks as we do, and that's still o.k.
Personally, I'm not disturbed because both of them are terrible people. In my opinion, there is not victim there,…
Yes. Both are terrible. Yai attempted to do a bad thing and got caught. Mangkorn turned around and did a bad thing. @schur20r did not "judge" anyone, merely asked the question. Now, if just asking the question creates "judgement" then hmmm!
Is no one else a little disturbed that the opening interaction between these two is at best extremely coercive,…
You're wasting your breath. It appears that the more sexually disturbing the BL is, the more folks seem to like it and even call it "good," and defend it by saying it's everyone's "preference." Unfortunately, they're correct. However, as for me, I'm passing it -- I've had enough of the coercive, drunk, possible rape story-lined BLs for this year. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem making the BLs a lot more mature (and even sexier). But, come on! Being mature and sexier doesn't have to always involve sexual coercion, being drugged for sex, rape, or other sexual violence. What's REALLY scary is the number of folks who actually think that kind of behavior is "romantic," "cute," or "good." Wow!
Lol, I was wondering what your take on this episode would be. Agree with the positive. The actor of Sky is really…
Agreed. That's why it's often very difficult to transition a novel into a series, because of the info that is provided in the characters head in written but has to be shown in the series.
OK, I can't wait. Has anyone read the novel? Who's the intervener? What/who caused teacher Dika to commit suicide? I have a few theories: Teacher Sani is the intervener; the Principal had something to do with Dika's departure and suicide -- Chaddok and Waree are just too obvious.
P.S. The Three Jams (Jamnong, Jamnan, and Jamnian) are just too cool!!!!

I totally agree with your analysis of Rain. And you're right, his behavior seemed to be aligned with his character in the first half of the series. It appeared obvious that Rain did not know about Sky's traumatic past (as indicated by Rain being surprised that Sky dated guys). So, on that score, he gets a pass. However, in this ep. (which was slightly different from the novel for this scene) , Rain is portrayed as a bit selfish and consumed with his own love life and his boyfriend -- which often happens in real life when a bestie chooses their boyfriend/girlfriend over the best friend. It's always a tough social choice. I was just saying that is this ep. (however, it may reflect actual real life) showed Rain as that "shitty" friend who seemed to have chosen his boyfriend over his best friend at that moment. Again, you're right. Sky will forgive Rain, as most besties eventually do because they actually do care about one another.
I liked the way this ep. played out! GREAT use of the flashback to some of Sky's traumatic history, as well as how Peat carried this ep. with his acting. Fort actually did a fairly nice job at portraying Prapai's "transition" from wanting Sky for just sex to someone who actually cares for this other individual. Good job to both.
Now, let's get back to Rain!!!!
Hmm! Let's see here!
1) Sky told Rain what the deal was between him and Prapai and Rain promised NOT to basically give out info or interfere. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN! 2) Rain answered Sky's phone WITHOUT permission to an "UNKNOWN" caller (who just happened to be Prapai). BOY MUST'VE HAD ESP! 3) Rain told Prapai all about Sky's condition. AGAIN, WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PROMISE?! 4) Rain LEFT his SICK best friend (with someone else) because he didn't want to drive back and forth from his boyfriend's house to get his homework! WTF! HE COULDN'T BRING HIS HOMEWORK OVER TO SKY'S PLACE?? PHAYU COULDN'T BRING HIS WORK TO HIM??? AM I MISSING SOMETHING?
I'm sorry. But in this ep., Rain is made out to be a pretty shitty best friend! A pretty shitty friend period!
Everyone is putting this "romantic" tone on Sky's and Prapai's "hookup." Yes, I said it! Hookup! That's all it was at this stage. Prapai saw Phayu go and get "his boy." So, when he saw Sky in trouble, he took the opportunity to "come to his rescue." But, he didn't do it for free. Prapai wanted some "tail" in exchange for his assistance, and Sky (probably feeling pressured and thankful for the help) said O.K. It was simply a hookup to pay for the help given. Sassy Sky probably thought nothing more about it than that.
Hmmm! Could the reason be that Sky felt pressured to have sex from a guy he "thought" was helping him, only to…
I hope you're right. I think it would add some reasoning to the Sky/Prapai storyline. Remember, Sky already said Prapai was as a**hole, who only wanted sex. After discovering his best friend gave this "stranger" his number and practically "stalked" him, Sky would appear to be justified.
P.S. The Three Jams (Jamnong, Jamnan, and Jamnian) are just too cool!!!!
Thanks for your input!
