Okay. You do have a point. I believe (although I'm not totally positive) that most posts were reacting to the Tian/Villagers scene and neglected the rest of the ep. I have agree that it was a bit choppy and sporadic, and hurried in the middle. It may be that they're trying to wrap the rest of story in-line with the novel. Maybe they needed to have more eps. I'm not quite sure.

True, and I agree with you. But, the two past lives characters had me in tears. LMBO!

I know a lot of folks didn't like it -- but, I was also moved to tears with certain eps. from Until We Meet Again. IMO, it was a different take on the reincarnation theme.

I'm sorry. But, I have to agree with many of the posters. This season is getting weaker and weaker by the episode. I see they totally glossed over the drunken sex-rape scene for a more quai-dramatic, "my boyfriend made a secret deal with my dad" scene. Both scenes are cliche, overused, and tropish. I think this show is definitely suffering from lazy writing. However, I was a bit encouraged by the characters of the cousin and the individual with Aspberger's syndrome, as well as the potential of seeing more of Shu Yi's assistants Bing Wei and Zhe Yu .

If we were to give the writers the benefit of the doubt (what a stretch), could it be possible the writers were intentionally ignoring standard healthcare protocols to show how "provincial" life in Pap Pen Dao village is?

This was a great ep! I know a lot of posters had comments as to whether Tian should've been more clear about Torfun's demise. But, it's common in many cultures (especially some Asiatic cultures) to take "responsibility" for another's tragedy, irregardless of the "level" of involvement. Tian probably felt responsible for her death by continuing on with the race, even though he wasn't driving the car, which many of us suspected anyway. But, all of this was done, IMO, to heighten the dramatic affect of the series, and I believed it worked. Tian's "confession" to the villagers (and their shunning of him) was a straight-up tear jerker! There probably wasn't a dry eye in the house. LoL

I agree and understand where both of you are coming from. However, lest we forget that medical practices in the Asiatic cultures may be a little bit different that in the western cultures. I was stationed in South Korea, when I was in the US Army. I had an opportunity to see the healthcare practice of that culture, and I can tell you, it's different.

I believe I read some translation that it was the guy that Tian was racing was the actual person that hit Torfun. But, he is still culpable. But, how to explain the timeline between when Torfun was hit and how Tian got the hospital is still in question.

Interesting theory! But, as I remember it (please correct me if I got it wrong), Tian was in the hospital at the time Torfun was hit. He was taken there from playing badminton with Tul, unless they rewrote that scene. If that scene was correct, Tian couldn't have been in two places at once???

Again, true. Still can't argue with you there. But, remember, unfortunately the rape-sex trope sells in BL. It's like you said, "it's drama."
