I think the premise of this show is not bad. Obviously, it doesn’t have bigwig budget production, but a good…
IDK.... It seems that the "I had drunk sex, and I don't know who I slept with" theme has been overused too many times before, especially in these times of covid-19 and pandemic. But, I could be wrong!!! SMH!

This was such a good series. I'm concerned that Season 2 will ruin it. From the previews, it appears that S2 will be set (5) years after they've graduated. Each time a series is set in the future, there's usually so much history that's gone on that we the viewing audience doesn't get to see, and series either takes too much time trying to catch us up or they give no background at all. And, that makes the current storyline confusing, difficult to follow, etc. But, since the production company has chosen to go this route, I just hope they take enough time to develop a story as good as S1.

Now that I am calculating this, why is it that he said that they have been separated for 76692 hours. When I converted…
Interesting calculations, since the sequel is set only (5) years into the future. Hmmm! I can't wait to see how they resolve it. Now, here's a theory -- maybe some of those hours were the time that Gao Shi De was apart from Zhou Shu Yi during their time in the university??? I personally think that Zhou Shu Yi's father will play a large part in this story..

I luv'd this series!!! A sweet love story without a lot of toxic drama and few moments that allowed to you to go AHHH!. I just hope, that since the sequel is set five years in the future, that the series gives us just enough of a background story to catch us up to what's been happening during the past (5) years.

P.S. I think the HIStory series from Taiwan are some of the best BLs out there. HIStory 2: Crossing the Line is still one of my favorites. LMBO!

Very good point, and I tend to agree with you as well. I believe that the overuse of the tropes/stereotypes (wifey/hubby, seme/yuke, etc.), along with the boys in "blue shorts" /engineer-medical student themes have stagnated Thai BLs. However, these themes have brought so much popularity to the genre in Thailand, I believe the production companies simply want to stay with "what works." Even though it's much better than it was just a few years ago, the Thai BLs are starting to lose a lot of ground to the other Asian cultures producing BLs that are of better quality, i.e., better acting, better storylines, and better treatment of the LGBTQ+ community.

Again. I agree. I'm not sure why Vietnamese BLs aren't included on this site???? It may be that little in known of their society compared to the others. But, you're right the Vietnamese BLs that are out there, seem to be getting better.

Very good points! I stand corrected for the inclusion of Chinese BLs. I had forgotten about Addicted-Heroin and Untamed (mainly the novels). I knew of the issue with Japanese culture, which is why I did not include them. I agree with you that they are all "very different and yet the same." And, I totally agree with you about the lack of "toxicity" and the raw naturalness of the actors and the storylines in Taiwanese BLs.

Thank you. I should've "looked before I posted!" LOL

I'm not sure about most of you. But, for me, I'm beginning to like the Taiwanese, South Korean, and Chinese BLs much more so than I do the Thai BLs, and even to some point, the Filipino BLs. I think that the Asian cultures mentioned seem to have gotten the idea about how to have a decent story, mixed with a little drama (not to mention some good looking young men) to produce a fairly decent BL drama.

The Taiwanese, South Koreans, and Chinese don't seem to focus their BLs on the classic (and very over played) tropes and stereotypes that are fading in the other countries' BLs, but are still present. The eastern Asiatic peoples , and it may be cultural (idk), don't include much, if any, things such as rape and sexual violence, etc., in their BLs . And, although some of the characters in the BLs may have issues with their family or friends about being "gay," those characters deal with it in at least a way that's believable and acceptable, if not palatable. Again, this could be due to their cultures as well.

I get it. In some BLs, an occasional trope or stereotype may be necessary to showcase something going on in the storyline. However, I say it's refreshing to watch a BL and be able to focus on the story and the characters, and not have to worry about which LGBTQ+ trope will be thrown in the show for affect.

I said all of that to say this: I JUST LUV THIS SERIES!!!!!

Bryce in Manila is an arrogant d*ckhead! Josh turned out to be just as big a d*ckhead! I agree with the other posters that is wasn't cool the way Bryce and Josh treated him. Considering, before they became "hot" models, they weren't much different.

Ok, yes, Bart was dumb to show up in Manila unexpectedly. In the scenes before he left home I was hoping that…
I'm right there with you. I, too think that Bryce and Josh are dickheads. But, all of the flashback scenes suggest that Bryce and Bart were similar to Bart (they just happened to make their dreams come true). I think you're right about Bart becoming a famous model and turning into either a Bryce or Josh. Also, until they showed the present Josh, I kind of felt sorry for him. He's been carrying around this hidden love for Bryce for so long, and Bryce doesn't have a clue. So, you have the proverbial "love isosceles triangle." If you are familiar with an isosceles triangle, you have two equals sides converging on a single point -- Bart and Josh both love Bryce. And, we don't know yet who Bart loves or will love.

This is just my two cents. LMBO!

In this series is Tul the top and Max the bottom?
Max "never" plays bottom. He's "inferred" often that he wouldn't play a bottom.

I just re-watched this series, and I have to say it touched me just as much as it did the first time around. Yes, at times the series would drain you emotionally. But, that was, IMO, part of the journey. I luv'd how they showed the dramatic/traumatic ending scene at the beginning of the series, and THEN told you the story of how all of it happened. Definitely a first for a BL.
