I think based on the preview for next week they might have sex. It shows Shi De at Shu Yi's house with no shirt…
I saw that too, and had similar thoughts. I just think the writers and director missed a GOOD opportunity during ep. 1.

Don't forget the special episode that fit between S1 and S2. IMO, that's where the fuckery started and the first…
I agree. But, I'm still willing to see if they can pull it off, meaning make this S2 "not so terrible."

Actually, if the writers wanted to be really creative and add some interesting spice to the series, they should've had Shi De going upstairs and he and Shu Yi having passionate "revenge sex." Then, they could pick up the 5-year misunderstanding, angry-at-you trope. It would've made for a much more interesting storyline and provided a good way to move the plot along.

Yeah, and he went upstairs to his bedroom and left Shi De downstairs! It would've been a great plot twist had the writers had Shi De go upstairs and the two had mad passionate "revenge sex." Now, that would've been some drama.

I did... I just called it the "special ep." LMBO!

Ok. The S1 of this "series" was pretty darn good, no inane stereotypes, no active tropes, and a decent beginning to a love story. Then, we have the "special ep," which threw in the beginning of a complicated plot, which I guess, would be further explained in the upcoming S2. I actually had no problem with that, since the writers decided to have a timeline plot which includes a 5-year separation of the main characters. However, in the "special ep." the writers and/or producers decided to fall back on the very overused "misunderstanding" trope to begin the storyline of S2. I did have a problem with that. Many things could've have happened to the relationship of Shi De and Shu Yi in 5 years, why chose a "simple" misunderstanding as the guide? Why couldn't they be creative? It made NO sense to me, it did NOT seem to follow the quality storyline presented in S1, and it appeared like "lazy" writing (taking the easy way out). A plot such as that would've have probably been ok and believable 15 - 20 years ago, when relationships were treated differently, and there wasn't the access to as much diversity of thought, technology and social media as it is today. But, I still liked S1 a lot, and I want to like S2 as well. So, I'll sit back and watch and hope that the writers did not take the easy way out in S2, when they had plenty of opportunity to script a quality series, as they did in S1.

Ok. Please, help me I don't ever seen a BL drama. I tried to watch TOL (Theory of Love) but I Don't finished because…
Totally agree with the two opinions above! AND, I'll go one more -- so far, IMO, I think its a great series,

Interesting, because I feel that the opposite is true; it's not at all like all the other BL series we've seen…
That's kind of what I was thinking, too -- but, you stated it much more eloquently than I did. Thanks!

It was not an ending, more a preview for s2. We will see if it makes sense when s2 airs. I have my doubts too.

Yeah, the girl thing was a bit much. I guess she'll be Shi De's cousin or possibly the daughter or his mother's new husband or old husband. We really don't know the back story of Gao Shi De's father. I still think the (5) year thing was just off. I stand by it should've been 2 or 3. That fits better into the storyline.

I really loved this... and then the ending was a big ridiculous slap in the face. Made no sense.
I totally agree. And, they didn't really need to follow the novel and make their separation 5 years. It would've made much more sense for it to have been 2 or 3 years.

Oh! OK! I wasn't thinking along those lines. All very good points. I was thinking more about this initial plot (storyline) has a familiar trope-like feel to it. But, I might be totally wrong. Thanks!

Honestly this episode saved the series for me. It was getting so slow and boring. when you think about it there's…
I guess I can see your point. To me, this series is actually a "drama," similar to Until We Meet Again, but done much better, IMO. Many common Thai BLs are either comedies or dramedies, infused, either sporadically or intentionally, with tropes, stereotypes, or plot twists for comedic affects. I guess it would be a bit different to watch a "drama" without any of those qualities. But, I too, am glad ep. 5 saved it for you.

I guess I'm like most other posters. The first ep. is ok. It's a typical BL comedy with typical plot lines we've seen before, except it's not on a university campus and doesn't involve engineers and medical students...LOL I hope the series gets better as it goes along. Otherwise, it will get caught up in the same old trope-like BL comedy we've seen in the past. But, then again, if these kinds of storylines sell, the producers will keep pumping them out. LMBO!
