Yes agreed! It’s quite compelling to watch, and I like that he’s a very morally ambiguous character! But I am sometimes surprised how tough and judgemental people are towards LSS when she’s making the only sensible choice.
I finally understand why SuSu can not let TTJ go. SJ feelings at the end of ep 16 made me understand why.
I always thought it was odd how people didn’t understand why LSS is so invested in her mission. She saw the devil god (TJJ) literally kill her entire family and clan in front of her AND destroy most of the world as she knew it. Of course, she’d be invested in removing the evil bone and preventing a new devil god to be reincarnated. I am a bit surprised why people think she should just support TJJ unconditionally, when she had witnessed how he destroyed everything including her family.
I understand the dream arc is necessary for the plot, but j just cannot get invested in it, or the characters...hope…
Same here. I am happy that the dream arc will be finished in a few episodes, but because they cut it down so much, it’s really hard to be invested in any of the charac. I also don’t find their insta-love believable at all.
The correct answer is he will become the new demon god, but a better one. It's HE but a rush HE
I am kinda relieved about this, because we already have the arc with Ming Ye. Don’t need another arc of TTJ becoming a stoic immortal! I would prefer him being a pretty grey character.
me whos loving the fast-paced plot 😻 (i like it when it’s fast, no boring scenes that i can skip at all)
Same, I usually find it hard to watch xanxia dramas because most of them seem very slow paced. But this has been great, really fast paced. Sometimes maybe a bit too fast like ep 10-11 where he becomes emperor within minutes!
GOSHHHHH MY HEART,The way Ye xiwu gave tantai jin a mocking smile while flickering her hands in a hello.AND,the…
I was a bit confused when he later said “Kill them all”. Did he actually want YXW to be killed? Seems unlikely given how he was looking for her everywhere.
I’ve got a question for those who read the novel. It sounds like all the characters will remember the dream sequence after it finishes and this helps TTJ and LSS realise their feelings for each other.
But doesn’t that just mean that they essentially are just adopting the feelings that MY and SJ had for each other (given that they look the same and lived through the experience), rather than genuinely falling in love with each other for who they are in real life?? That seems a bit dumb, I would rather see them fall in love in real life than through a dream where they’re different people.
Aside from them, I really like LSS. It’s so nice to see a strong, independent woman, who is devoted to her mission and doesn’t just follow a man around. I am enjoying the dream sequence more than I expected, but I can already see that SJ is more like the standard cdrama female who falls in love at first sight and always puts her man first even if he treats her badly.
Have watched up to ep 8 and it just keeps getting better and better. I found the first 3-4 episodes a bit slow, but from episode 5 I was hooked. Although I still have no idea what’s going on. I don’t think I’ve ever watched anything where I was this confused but I do really like it!
How did this get downgraded to a 7.0? I don’t think this is justified - yes, it’s a bit slow but the cinematography is amazing and from what I understand, it follows the book pretty closely. The acting is also really good.
I am watching this with my husband who never watches Asian dramas, but he read the book and he’s really enjoying this!
I am really enjoying the FL in this. I like that she’s actually smart, knows what she wants and fights for it. She doesn’t seem like a damsel in distress. While still being funny and easy-going.
I actually like her so much better than Esther Yu’s character in LBFAD - loved that drama but it took me a long time to get used to fairy. And then I tried romance with the little forest, and just couldn’t.
I feel like recently there have been a lot of these cutesy & somewhat ditsy FL characters, and it’s so nice to see a smart FL again.
And Dylan is amazing as usual. His character reminds me a lot of LBFAD but he’s also noticeably different - Smiles more and seems a bit warmer!
Haven’t caught up with all the episodes yet, but really enjoying it so far. Just one thing I find a bit odd is that there are absolutely no scenes of Du Joon actually attending university. Did he even attend classes and graduate? Or was law school just a pretence so his family doesn’t know that’s he’s actually running an investment company?
Or will she go back to her original body with her memories intact?
