Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
In the novel it did not happen that way. He didn't know that YXW wasn't YXW until the immortal arc. As for her…
She has trouble becoming a god because she secretly loves him?

Yes i feel the same. Why would YXW told TTJ that, its perhaps bcs Of she didnt really love him or bcs TTJ is so…
I think in the novel he is much more cruel to her. I didn’t read the novel myself, but based on comments here, he raped her, tortured her, broke her bones, and generally let her suffer a lot. I am glad we didn’t have to see all of that, but it would have made so much more sense that LSS was done with him and just wanted it to be over.

I think LSS felt what they had was to painful and it would be better if they don’t meet each other and experience…
Yeah, I guess that makes sense. She felt like their fate was doomed from the start, and she never wants to experience it again. I still think her thought processes could have been developed more. The drama spends soo much time on TTJ’s character development and emotional state, but sometimes LSS’s thought processes are really not all that clear.

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
Great episode! Although I personally thought that in the drama, it didn’t make much sense that LSS/YXW was so sick of TTJ that she never wanted to see him again. Especially after she found out that YBC had poisoned her grandmother, and made TTJ think that YXW poisoned him. She even seemed to feel guilty about it earlier in the episode, and suddenly she never wants to see him again?

I’m overall really enjoying the drama, but I think they softened TTJ a bit too much, because that all would have made more sense if he was a bit more cruel in the recent episodes. Instead, all we’re seeing is a tortured ML. I kinda miss his slightly more wicked side that was saw in earlier episodes (crow scene). But I get that it must be hard to strike the right balance. I am glad they didn’t make him as cruel as in the novel, but here I find him sometimes a bit too soft.

But anyways, it’s interesting that LSS told him that she’s not YXW and that she’s here to stop him from becoming the devil god. Did that also happen in the novel?? I assume once TTJ meets her again in the immortal arc, it should be very easy for him to know who she is (although he might think that she didn’t retain her memories).

Women can never win in the world of dramas. If they abandon their task and become soft and lovey-dovey. They will…
Agree with this so much. Sometimes I can’t even read the comments here, because I find it upsetting how critical everyone is of FLs.

I think one issue is that the drama spends way more time on TTJ’s character development and explaining why he acts a certain way than it does for LSS/YXW. LX was her senior brother in the immortal realm and the dream arc, so she feels strongly connected to him. Plus, from novel spoilers, I understand that this is actually a mortal realm trial for her senior brother, and so it’s important to her. None of this is explored well. Same as her ongoing trauma from losing her entire family in the immortal arc, and her conflict between having feelings for TTJ, while repeatedly be reminded of the devil god who murdered her whole family.

to be honest, it didn't sustain the same level of excitement as it did in the earlier episodes for me.but I will…
I am starting to think that they’re toning down TTJ’s character a bit too much. I understand that it needs to pass censorship, but I thought TTJ was a more compelling character from ep 5-10. I guess they’ve softened him since then to show character development, but it’s also a bit sad how all the angst now seems to be just based on misunderstandings and lack of communication.

What pisses me off is that XYW broke her promise that she made to TTJ not to misunderstand him and jump to conclusions.…
It really annoyed me too. But I guess there wouldn’t be any angst or drama if couples had honest conversations.

Title Till the End of the Moon Spoiler
I haven’t read the novel, but from what I heard, it sounds like in the novel YXW commits suicide because she’s tired and fed up with TTJ’s actions, and even when she’s goes back to the immortal realm as LSS, she later on pretends not to know him when she meets him again.

I wonder if they’ll make significant changes to this, because she’s now already found out that YBC was the real villain here and that she misunderstood TTJ (And TTJ in the tv show sounds much more sympathetic than in the novel). I assume she might commit suicide during the tower scene to save TTJ and exchange her immortal bone, but I wonder if they’ll change the immortal arc somehow because it doesn’t make that much sense for her to ignore him now based on everything that happened?

FOR PEOPLE WHO NEED RECOMMENDATIONS ON A FUCKBOY× DESPERATE HEROINE DRAMAWATCH-NEVERTHELESS!!!!YOUR WELCOME
Any other recommendations? (Ideally with a strong FL). I’ve watched Nevertheless, and actually quite enjoyed it. But I don’t think fuckboys are common in Asian dramas at all. 😅

I am pisser cuz her scene got cut off to give more screen time to bitchang. But i understand why they cant cut…
I do think LSS’s character could be a bit better developed (which might be a result of scenes being cut). It’s pretty obvious even here on MDL that everyone seems quite critical of LSS (but not TTJ), and I think that’s partially because there’s much more time devoted to explaining TTJ’s motives and character development. It would be good if it was a bit more balanced, but maybe I’m also biased because I love Bai Lu and more female centric story telling.

Maybe stop watching it if you’re not enjoying the mortal arc, because that’ll be the majority of the drama. I’m loving it, but totally get if it’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

what arc ?
Don’t worry, it doesn’t last that long. It finishes halfway through ep 18. I actually thought the last couple of episodes of the dream arc get pretty interesting, but it also took me a while to get into it.

I wasn’t sure if the curse actually took effect, because you had to sacrifice a loved one and I don’t think TTJ truly loved the maid.

Question for those who are more familiar with xanxia: Is there a difference between “a devil” and “a demon”? And how could LSS be born if her mother (Phoenix goddess) already died in the war?

I agree. It’s such a boring and annoying trope. And her character is super one dimensional, which never makes for a good villain. It’s a bit sad, because the show is obviously able to show multi-faceted characters (like TTJ), but instead we get this super annoying scheming character (TH), and MY and SJ who both seem ridiculously naive and fall for her stupid plots. Generally finding this arc quite disappointing, hope it gets better again once the dream finished. And I really hope Ye Bing Chang doesn’t turn into TH, because I’m not sure I can take such a one-dimensional character for many more episodes.

Everyone seems to be excited for the tower scene, but meanwhile I am hoping it won’t come too soon because it’ll mean the end of TTJ and YXW/LSS in the mortal realm, and I have a feeling that this will be my favourite arc! Already excited for the dream arc to end, and hope we get many more episodes with TTJ and YXW before it moves to the present/500 years in the future.

Came here for the same question. Haven’t watched the last two episodes, but it sounds like it hasn’t finished…
Yeah I’ll watch them, but probably in the next few days. I am not too invested in the dream arch, so might just stretch it out given that there will be a 3 day break anyways before episodes 19+ are released!
