I don’t understand why FL is not even encouraging her to divorce him. Instead, she’s just giving her tips how to change herself so that her husband will like her better. Which seems really dumb. Her husband is a jerk, and she deserves better. She also shouldn’t need to change herself for anyone.

If you just watch ep 2 to 19 (college years) it’s more of a sweet and lighthearted drama. After that, there’s more angst but apparently has a happy ending. But not sure how long the angst and serious themes will last, as we’re only at ep 21/22 this week.

I really dislike FL‘s brother and don’t understand why his wife isn’t getting a divorce. She really deserves better! Maybe their scenes are meant to be funny but I just find them sad to watch.

He apologised to the organising committee but not to FZJ. FZJ wanted him to specifically apologise to him in public to restore his reputation. And Li Xun didn’t do that (understandably!).

Yes that’s probably true. But I still loved how cute they were in ep 18/19, and not sure if we will get that back. Surely they’ll get back together but I’m guessing it’ll be a more mature relationship, which makes sense as they’re getting older as well. I might just have to keep rewatching ep 18 and 19 haha!

I only watched ep 20 today but I am already so sad that Li Xun‘s character development will probably go back to square 0 soon. I was so impressed with how far he has come from being this reserved, cold guy to being so sweet, caring and loving (and not just to Zhu Yun but also his sister and friends). It will be so sad to see him go back to being cold and distant (maybe even more so than before).

That is true! But I miss Gu Yanzhen, so wouldn’t mind if Xu Kai plays a similar character once more haha. But his character here is pretty good too, so I’m not complaining :)

His character in Arsenal Military Academy might be my favourite ML of all time. Would love to see him play a similar role again but here he‘s quite different.

I am so afraid to start watching ep 20 and 21, so came here to read comments first. Is ep 20 at least a little light-hearted?

I wouldn’t worry about that. The 2FL isn’t even introduced until ep 15 and doesn’t get much screen time. And she’s honestly not that bad. She likes the ML when she first meets him but doesn’t know that he already has feelings for FL. After ML and FL officially get together, she backs off. Would suggest you just give it a go!

I tried watching “She and her perfect husband”, and just found it so underwhelming after ep 18&19 of L&P. Maybe need to try again on a different day!

It’s so cute to watch how comfortable they are around each other. And still so in love after 3 years together!

So true! If you started midway in ep 2 until ep 19, it would be such a nice fluffy college romance. I am a bit scared of the upcoming episodes, and I am worried that even once they get back together, it won’t be quite the same. It’s just so cute to watch how in love and happy they are in episodes 18/19.

Oh wow. Somehow I had thought that those were her thoughts but I didn’t realise that she wrote it on weibo! Well, I guess she officially announced their relationship with that 😁
