In the anime (on YouTube), he is definitely going in for a kiss in that particular scene but he didn’t say “don’t move” there. I agree that “don’t move” would be a very odd thing to say before you kiss someone.😅

The synopsis makes it pretty clear that the story is focused on the college days. On the contrary, I was quite confused by the first episode because it didn’t align at all with the description. But I assume we will see the continuation of that in part 2.

I feel the exact same way. It’s weird how many people criticise the FL, when she just communicates openly and honestly. Meanwhile the ML keeps everything to himself, and bosses everyone around. But I’m also really enjoying this drama!

Both blonde and brown looks good (dark is a bit better I think), but I much prefer the longer hair he had in college compared to the short hair after prison.

Really enjoying this so far! For anyone who is just starting to watch - don’t be too surprised if the first 1 episode seems very different to the description of the drama. The college days start halfway through episode 2.

It seems pretty obvious to me that he’s already into her, based on ep 6. I think he also recognises that she is smart and has the potential to be a good coder and perhaps that’s partially why he asked her to join the group, but I think she gets most of the special attention because he‘s into her. But I am not sure if he’s actually going to pursue her. I don’t see him as the type who’s interested in a serious relationship at the moment.

Yes I agree! And I think her mentality is to want to accommodate others (like Ji Yeon‘s feelings), and she needs to start standing up for what she wants (or might want in the future, given that she clearly isn’t ready yet).

Yes I agree! If they just communicated better, a lot of these issues wouldn’t even exist. But then they wouldn’t have enough material to fill 16 episodes…

She only asked him to prevent major trauma for someone on the show. Not to make the show more successful. It’s just disappointing that their communication is so bad. If she explained properly he’d probably even understand.

I seem to be the only one who still likes Yeo Reum. She only asked the ML to kiss Ji Yeon because she wanted to prevent significant trauma for the other participant. And then Ji Yeon essentially manipulated her by saying that she’s wants to quit the show unless Yeo Reum draws a clear line, when Yeo Reum is clearly overwhelmed with everything, and doesn’t really know what’s she feeling. And I agree, she shouldn’t have shut the door so completely and should have talked to Jae Hoon about it. But I still think it’s a bit disappointing how all of them, including Jae Hoon, just sees the worst in her, thinking she does everything just for the show, even though he’s known her for 20 years. He apparently even thinks that she’s want to use his personal tragedy for the show (based on the preview) which is ridiculous given how much she took care of him when he went through this. But looks like Ji Yeon was successfully able to convince him that Yeo Reum just does everything for the show, and they’ll get closer now.

Why? Chae Ri seems like a terrible person to me. Releasing footage without consent where someone talks about their sexual assault, and having absolutely zero reservations about what trauma that could cause is such a big no, no. She’s not a good person and the ML really deserves better.

I’ve got a feeling that she’ll reject him again, and it makes total sense because she literally just cancelled her engagement/wedding 2-3 days ago and is also under so much pressure in her career and with the show. I hope the ML recognises that rather than thinking “Oh she rejected me again, I’ll give up now and move on.” He had feelings for her for such a long time, he should be able to wait a bit longer until she’s in a better mental space.

I didn’t get the sense that he wanted to “use” her to help his relationship with GYR, but rather because he knows he needs to pair up with someone on that reality tv show, so it’s easier to do it with someone who knows he has feeling for someone else, and doesn’t expect anything serious.

Episode 5 was so good, I’m excited that the reality show is finally kicking off. Personally, I find Ji Yeon a bit boring, so I hope he doesn’t just match up with her straight away in the show.

I really doubt that will happen. If you re-watch that first scene it’s obvious that he loves the FL the way he looks at her. He also spends way more time looking at her than at any of the contestants!

Really enjoying this so far. I like both the ML and FL. My guess is that the woman who visited her fiancé was an ex-girlfriend who is pregnant or something like that. (And of course, he doesn’t tell Yeo Reum just like he didn’t when he applied to work abroad). Yeo Reum finds out just before the wedding and calls it off.

Even Hyo-Rin seems to get a share despite the fact that she just inherited all her family’s wealth and her family caused so much grief to everyone.

Agreed. She was almost completely absent from the last few episodes and barely had any screen time or dialogues with her sisters.

I totally agree. I think it’s funny how she’s painted as the hero, who kindly shared money with her sisters, when she and her friend happily took a significant share of it despite contributing virtually nothing the whole season. And she doesn’t even get in touch with her sisters to let them know she’s okay.
