So, first of all I have not seen even one scene of the show, so this comment is not about the show, but rather…

I agree, this drama had too many shortcomings in the narrative. Hinted and promised much but underdelivered in…
I’m a critical bean. I don’t watch stuff just to watch stuff & I stuck with EAW because I saw potential when I started it.
The writer was ambitious. I like the various narrative presented in these cases in regards to YW development but didn’t reach full fruition. If YW left Hanbada, the overall narrative for her would’ve stick to the landing-great.
Nonetheless I enjoyed watching it every week. The discussions were fun. I learned things. I adore YW. And PEB was amazing.✨💖

For the Finale Ep - Things were resolved too easily. The high stakes were absolved merely into little stakes lol. The fact that MW actions weren’t even addressed at all? No apology. Nothing? It was odd. And he’ll continue to work at Hanbada? 😒 CEO Han still disappointed me & CEO TSM gets a half cookie point I guess.
I had hoped YW worked somewhere else instead of getting her contract renewed. Working at Hanbada is a good experience. But she really struggled with her morals there. The show touch upon psychological independence, flexibility, & morality so I thought it would end in a way that called back to these things in regards to YW 🤔.
I’m looking at this as a completed story from these 16 ep. The writer juggles through a lot of narrative with the social commentary which is nice but falters in various areas. The parts where the writer struggled with, it was pretty apparent - in terms of character development & story progression and depth. There was some deus ex machina here & there.
Visually, it’s a really well put together show. Stunning cinematography & clean editing. Amazing production design. A 10+ is that category.
PEB hit it out the ball park with her acting✨ I’ll miss you Woo Young Woo!💖
