I don’t really know the context of that scene yet other than kissing. But yes, it is messy. Tae Oh why you!
I’m thinking maybe it is a calculating move because Tae Oh is a manipulating strategist but I digress 😞 Was hoping for some good character development for Tae Oh. Prove me wrong writer!
Hee Joo is impulsive & act outs but when Tae Oh told her she needs to drop her princess act & protect herself,…
I called him a bully (act of bullying someone) since he wanted to pick a fight with Tae Oh & did stick around other-not so good-kids. He was misguided due to his terrible upbringing.
So it was nice to see that they had eachother during their youth & college days.
As for Hee Joo, she never had someone to lean on or a decent friend to give her some perspective about life like Tae Oh. So maybe that’s why she is so drawn to him?
I think Tae Oh doesn’t like Hee Ju but he appreciates her love for him. He doesn’t have many people love him…
Hee Joo is impulsive & act outs but when Tae Oh told her she needs to drop her princess act & protect herself, seems like something click? I hope to see some character development from her ( maybe get her own story arc) where she isnt chasing Tae Oh’s attention & become important to the plot. I do think he appreciates her but not in a romantic way like you said.
Hee Joo & In Ha are quite similar in temperament. Before In Ha met Tae Oh, he was a brash, a bully & fought. Then he met Tae Oh & they became friends and he changed. Albeit, he does have an inferior complex & is insecure. He’ll definitely change even more.
In Ha & Tae Oh friendship during their college days does seem genuine but it’s been 10 years. I see their relationship more like business now. I’m sure there will be cracks & their friendship will falter. Whether they become friends until the end or enemies, only time will tell.
this would be much more interesting to me if I actually understood the business stuff, but I'm out here fighting…
Tae Oh is trying to get In Ha to be the legitimate heir to Kangoh company. By doing so, they both hatch a plan during their college days where they met Hye Won. Thus forming a trio. The management report Tae Oh wrote startup the Co-Prosperity center because his professor Chae Donguk took it & sold it to Kangoh (which was part of the plan).
2018 Co-Prosperity celebrates its 5th yr & has been managed by Chae Donguk. It’s value worth 30 trillion. Tae Oh becomes Kang JM secretary. Chae Donguk gets fired from his position. Sung Joo becomes in charge of the center ~ vice president.
Next 5 years into 2023, Vice president Sung Joo (Kang JM second son) manages the center.
Chairman Sundong is voted as the new political party leader of Hanmi. Kang JM was supporting someone else for this position. Sundong is his enemy. Kang JM is planning the Royal Road Project. Sundong wants to destroy it. Tae Oh found out Sung Joo was making secret deals with Sundong. Sundong wants part of Kangoh.
Tae Oh knows that both Sung Joo & his mom have been money laundering under the Jang Noik foundation to help fund Sungdong. Tae Oh & Kang JM creates a plan to get Sung Joo demoted to Kang securities, appoints Chae Donguk again to manage the Co Prosperity center. Tae Oh tips off a prosecutor that comes into their company looking for files so it would scare Sung Joo & his mom not to cause problems in the future. Kang JM plays pretend & gets sick, thus halting the investigation any further.
With Tae Oh hacker friend, they illegally mess up the shares that Kang Security is in charge of. It blows up on the news, making Sung Joo look bad. By doing this, it would make Sung Joo seem incapable of running as the next heir/successor to Kangoh. Thus, Tae Oh persuading Kang JM to take InHa has his legitimate child & announce it publicly.
People watching this show purely for romance will be disappointed lol. I ship Tae Oh with victory too. I’m curious…
I wonder if the writer wants the audience to care about the trio together or not together lol. If the writer had built up the relationship between the 3 much more in depth with emotional weight, the fallout/arguments/ betrayal/tension would hit harder.
But yeah, Hee Joo scenes are fun to watch. I hope she becomes a key factor into the story & not just on the sideline trying to get Tae Oh’s attention.

Tae Oh & In Ha has a bit more substance but as a trio, not much. Wish there were more scenes where they hang out more during their college days. Maybe we’ll see flashback? There this disconnect between the 3 the writing is not fully executing the emotional aspect/depth to feel that they care about eachother. I guess that’s intentional? Maybe there will be a fallout.
In Ha definitely has an inferiority complex. He feels insecure.
I also like romance! When it’s well written & has depth. For this show, not so sure yet. I need more than just people/actors looking & acting good together.
This show is giving me Itaewon Class vibe that I had to check if it's by the same writer, but apparently not.…
I was suprised it wasn’t based on a webtoon because it gives off a vibe that it’s from a webtoon. Tae Oh mannerism reminds me a bit of Sae Ro Yi. Even his fashion sense (besides the suits). Hee Joo is a bit like Yi Seo lol.
Tae Oh is a modest person. It seems to me like he wants a high position in corporate for financial stability & power ~ make a name for himself? With that, He’ll be able to care & protect his mom with the resources he has, away from his evil stepdad & his goons.
The impossible heir must be referring to In Ha. It took Tae Oh 10 years to put In Ha in the position he has now so it can either go up or terribly south lol. I don’t think Tae Oh has any blood relationship to the Kang Family. And a conglomerate like the Kang Family, JM will probably want a blood heir to takeover Kangoh. We’ll see if In Ha has what it takes to be the successor.
I’ll wait for ep 5&6. It’s boring for others & people watch it for shipping lol. But I’m rooting for Tae Oh to be on top! Not to sound superficial but Jae Wook LOOKS AMAZING in suits 🤭💖
the editing is very weird like not sure if it's the website I watched it on but the scene transitions seem too…
It’s mentioned that the Hulu has the leaked ep 1-2 with those odd black transitions while the Disney+ app does not. Which is weird 😖 I hope Hulu fixes it
Might be on a really unpopular side but I don't ship Tae oh with neither Hyewon nor Heejo...one is obviously so…
People watching this show purely for romance will be disappointed lol. I ship Tae Oh with victory too. I’m curious if Tae Oh & InHa’s relationship will dive into a gutter. As of now their relationship in 2023 gears towards a business partnership rather than friendship. Even though they had good moments 10yrs ago, lots has changed.
As for InHa & Hyewon’s relationship, is it really love lol? Onscreen, they don’t really come off as a couple even though they dated for 10 years. It’s a bit odd lol. I know Hyewon doesn’t really love LOVE InHa like that either or does she? Only time will tell.
Hee Joo is impulsive & immature. I understand why she is the way she is but she needs to get a grip! I’m glad Tae Oh told her what needs to be said. I hope she gets some character development like InHa. I wonder if she’ll play a key role in InHa’s succession & become his supporter.
It mentioned that he loses his memories??? Is that why he kissed her? I am so confused lol.

I was trying to find the right words. Manipulation of stock prices! Now Sung Joo is in a rut.

I hope this helps. Sorry for the long post.
I also binged the first 4 ep in one setting.
But yeah, Hee Joo scenes are fun to watch. I hope she becomes a key factor into the story & not just on the sideline trying to get Tae Oh’s attention.
