I find it odd that people vilify CSS like she’s a terrible daughter. She’s not. She feels like she has to be in a fight or flight mode all the time because she was raised by two a$$holes who neglected & abuse her. I mean her mom decided to leave her behind. Could have left the twin son since her parents already had two sons.

Imagine being neglected your whole life just to meet your parents you haven’t seen in over 10 yrs. They are practically strangers to CSS. It’s not easy to build a relationship for CSS with her parents because they didn’t raise her. I know the mom has good intentions but she’s way too comfortable & kind towards someone else daughter. 😒

I think the first few ep is to set up CSS as the FL to get to viewers understand her character & her dynamic with the family. I haven’t read the novel so I hope he does have equal arc to CSS.

I do like CSS a lot already & I don’t mind seeing her story unfold. ZLS is too cute ✨ Honestly forgot LBY was a character lol. I need him to have more of a presence & command the scene. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of WL acting, he had quite the presence in TLB.

I know it’s only been four ep out for LLTG & he didn’t really get a substantial screen time yet so let’s if my opinion changes as I watch. I like the idea-essence of LBY’s character though.

What CSS & LBY’s age in the story?

I like the part when LBY said CSS has a bright future because he already understands the depth of her capability.

Like they haven’t officially met yet but he’s already saying nice things about her 😏. But CSS took it as an insult 🤣.

When she tried to throw herself in the well 🤣. Did u see how tiny that well is. I’m like I don’t think she fits.

One thing I like about the leads is that one isn’t a prince or princess. If they were written in modern sense, they would be from a working class which makes them more relatable. Although LBY is adopted into the royal family, his title is a general, not prince. Also, it gives his character more leverage & freedom to do more things compare to a princely character. Also, LBY just looks very good.

CSS binding 3 brushes together to efficiently write quicker in less time lol. Truly innovative & ahead of her time. 🤣

It’s more exposition-y that I expected. I do like that it’s straightforward but I do hope we get to see more dynamic between the leads.

Have you’ve seen Story of Ming Lan. Both leads are the black horses of their family & rises up the ranks to be badass married couple.

I really like CSS.

I also like the dialogue in the show. Found myself laughing. Like the battle of wits in the Cheng Manor lololol. I love family dynamic in historical drama like this. I tend to get bored of political & war driven dramas so to me this drama is quite refreshing.
