I watched all four episodes today & I really like CSS. I like her tenacity & her unwillingness to back down from anyone. She’s like a quiet storm but is more blatant in her actions (compare to MingLan). She's not meek and acts accordingly to her environment. She’s a literal child who suffers from parental neglect & obviously abuse so it’s very much in character why she acts the way she does. CSS isn't a perfect filial child to her parents when they didn’t even take care of her. Is she suppose to greet her parents with open arms & welcome them wholeheartedly? It would be unrealistic. It’s her scheming aunt & grandmother that raised her so she won’t be the kind of daughter her parents, specifically her mother, wants CSS to be. She wasnt taught proper etiquette or reading so she isnt like her cousin YY.
My only gripe would be LBY's character so far but maybe it's moreso WL's acting. I found him monotonous in The Long Ballad so hopefully it isn’t the case here. I think more of LBY's presense will warm me up to him. Hopefully we get to see more of his personality in tomorrows episodes. Visually, he looks great.
I like ZLS here! She suits CSS. The costumes and hair is really nice. The directing is good, not quite distinct but it's not bad. Im glad we get to hear the leads actual voice.
Ep 1 started off so well. Then it jumped and made no sense? What's up with the characters having shallow and under-developed…

But short answer - No it does not get better lol. 😒 So if you’re finding yourself getting bored & unengaged within the past 10 ep, it’s best to drop & not waste your time.

Some may think the romantic tropes are cheesy but I LOVE it. It’s charming. Not everyday autistic characters are written with a lighthearted story & a blooming relationship 💕over the horizon. No sappy tragic backstory in a melodramatic fashion either. Just feel good vibes.😌✨🐳
Also, CSS using reverse psychology on Second Aunt 🤣🤣🤣😎😌 It’s what she deserves.
