Yep, you're the only one. And her role in The Handmaiden was not "erotic", it was lesbian relationship and sex.…
It’s the 1st work I watched of KTR years ago. I knew this actress was going to be BIG. She has immense onscreen presence.

why not? She’s just a talented actress that is brave enough to take on different roles. Many respected actors…
It’s her debut role too where she got to walk the carpet at the Cannes Film Festival in which she (the cast) got a standing ovation. Iconic.😎😌

Maybe that person too dazzled by yijin face.. so that couldnt aware what s happening actually.. haha
Must be 😆 but it’s annoying seeing HD feelings interpreted diff than how it’s presented.

I LOVE her in the handmaiden.

Wish they inject some of that passion into 2521 but of course we’ve got to keep stuff strictly PG.🤣😆

I had a conversation with someone who said why doesn’t HD say she’s in love with YJ after his confession & that she should know it already & I’m here thinking, are we watching the same the show??? Read the darn dialogue lol. 🤔😒

the only one 18 when they meet is Hee Do so it follows that Hee Do falls in love at 21. Yi Jin is already there…
I don’t see HD in love with YJ just yet (which is good) the way YJ is. She’s unsure but he doesn’t press on. She likes him but he loves her. So I like the juxtaposition between their responses to each others confession.

But they do indeed both have a strong platonic-unconditional love for each other through mutual respect & understanding.

They definitely are not at the stage to be in that kind of romantic relationship yet for obvious reasons but I can see HD confessing in a romantic manner in a grander scheme later on. Much stronger than YJ but time will tell.

Yes I think it’s meant to read romantic from HD’s perspective but it doesn’t help that YJ looks so damn smitten 🤣😆.

I think it’s meant to surprise the viewers. But hey, maybe they don’t actually fall fall in love until 2521. As of now, they are not dating but the feelings between the two is there & it’s partly romantic? YJ is much stronger obviously while HD is still trying to figure it out.

I’m still enjoying the show very much. It doesn’t bother me (maybe slightly) but I am questioning the writer.

I don’t think it has to do with the actors but more so the writing. I hope the cast doesn’t get any hate.…
I mean you can love(be in love) with someone & not physically be affectionate in the romantic manner. YJ’s mannerism reads like both platonic & romantic love. His gazes speaks volume specifically and his words.

The writer has a way of misleading through storytelling, not only in regards to the relationship between HD & YJ. I think most were suprised by the confession given that the synopsis says they fall in love at 2521. As of now, they are not dating. But the affection they have for each other is infact partly romantic?

Btw, someone on twitter just named 2521 fandom as overthinkers 🤣🤣
We’re racking up over 100k tweets every week now 😆. It’s pretty on brand 🤣. Thinking too much lol.

I don’t think it has to do with the actors but more so the writing. I hope the cast doesn’t get any hate. I’m sure they weren’t aware how the story would be with its current setup. With its current arc of the story, there was bound to be this kind of stuff that pops up. The writer likes to mislead the viewers so I don’t think anyone expected this.

I saw an article saying that most Korean viewers are really upset about the age gap and the last two episodes…
I believe so but it seems to be a small minority vocal about this. Not sure how it will affect the rest of 6 ep.

Regarding the current topic of 2521 with the “minor/adult” relationship, I hope it doesn’t affect the final product of the show. The more abrupt cuts & revision edits will make the show visually less immersive & uneven. I don’t know if it has gain any huge traction amongst knetz yet. If the show is going to get flak then let it run its course.

It’s kind of unfortunate & the writer sort of shot themselves on the foot. I just hope KTR & NJH and the rest of the cast doesn’t get dragged.
