Just two people growing & learning from each other. The romance isn’t there(yet). Their relationship is really well developed. Great emotional moments between the two.
I don't usually write a lot but there's just some stuff I wanna get off my chest about the age difference controversy.…
I love their rainbow analogy. Would be fine to leave it at that. Although I don’t think his love for her isn’t just inherently romantic but simply love in general.
Slightly questioning the writers intent but time will tell in the future episodes.
The bruises comes from fencing. When the sword touches the opponent, it hurts.
Okay I’m hoping it’s just that 🥲. Because it looks like it hurts. I’m guessing it parallels to MC feet being bruised from ballet now that I think about it.
HD has bruises? Is it from fencing or somewhere else? Looking at the preview trailer for Ep 11, I noticed that her bruising became larger? I really hope this is addressed.
YJ was the first to notice it so I hope he ask her about it 🥺.
I am getting serious "selective amnesia" vibes, something bad may happen between the two which would wipe off…
Yes, something happen. Something tragic? I don’t know but she’s definitely suppressing memories she doesn’t want to be reminded of. I don’t think it’s memory loss.
Sometimes when people undergo traumatic events, forgetting is a form of coping mechanism, treating a certain memory as if it doesn’t exist because it’s too painful.
I think Yijin's love for heedo isn't platonic but not really romantic? It's like in between? Idk it's kinda complex…
It encompass all forms of love. At least that’s how I see it. It can be any kind of love. There’s more depth & nuance than how it appears. It’s not the usual (romantic) love that is usually depicted in Kdramas. You can see that YJ cherishes HD as a person first & not just a romantic prospect.
It’s not the age gap, it’s that she’s still in highschool. HD mindset it literally like a kid. She doesn’t…
I love YJ & HD confession. I’ve rewatched it so many times already. Probably one of thee best confessions I’ve seen in kdramas. The juxtaposition is spot on and shows where they’re at in terms of maturity level & understanding of love.
So I think many people including me made an assumption about this drama that we would be spending more time in…
As someone who doesn’t like romance all that much, I’m actually looking forward to the romance. Not that I’m saying it’s the most important factor to the story but definitely a major part of growing & how HD & YJ see each other. Maybe not now but when the times is right when both HD & YJ are at the same wavelength.

I’m not surprised that YJ loves HD. It’s pretty obvious that he does. I understand why he told her. I’m more surprised that writer have him tell HD when they are at 2319.
I'm a huge age gap "critic" and I even wrote an article about it (I'll also totally write 2521 in the 2nd part)But…
It’s not the age gap, it’s that she’s still in highschool. HD mindset it literally like a kid. She doesn’t know the way of the world yet, heck she doesn’t even know how to wash lettuce 😒😆
Yes there is mutual respect between the HD & YJ but I wouldn’t say it’s like My Mister because Ji An is presented as a young adult (19) not in highschool who works multiple jobs. DH served strictly as her guidance & no romance. In 2521, it is different because the love part is in involved from both HD & YJ.
YJ doesn’t pressure her, he simply tells her that he loves her. But they have a lot of close interaction so it can come off as slight flirtation & framed as romantic.
We don’t know if the “dating” or falling in love part happens at 2521. The writer likes to mislead the viewers.
I’m curious if we’ll get more fencing moments. Because the fencing arc was one of the major highlights for me. The energy & tension was just amazing 🔥.
2 kids kissing is not the same thing as a 22 yr old saying he loves an 18 yr old in highschool.
It’s a small minority that’s vocal about this. People are going to have opinions that differs from yours.
You can still simply watch & enjoy the show however you please.

Everytime he shows up onscreen, he’s glowing. It’s kind of mesmerizing tbh lol.
But it looks more like bruises?

Let’s hit to 10k before the show ends. 🍑🤧
I don’t have a problem with them bantering & bickering or being close.

I can enjoy & love the show but still have critiques on certain things about it.
