Nam Joo Hyuk still can't help but look handsome even in those outfits at the fish market! I mean this guy can…
Right. I’m like that’s a good looking fish merchant 😆🔥.

Three things I loved in this episode:1. How mature Hee Do was about Yi Jin leaving. The fact that she understood…
100% agree on #2. Like these are two people who’s only way of communicating is by a pay phone down a cold street in the 90’s. Yet they have the best communicating skills & understanding. It’s almost telepathic. That’s why I really adore HD & YJ bond because they are very honest & straightforward and really in tune with their feelings. Yet, they are only 22/18. Other dramas have grown 30 something year old who lacks these.

Does anyone know if the lighthouse shown at the end of episode five is the same one as Hometown Cha Cha Cha?
Yes I believe so.

The transitions during Hee Do’s match and Ye Jin running off to save his lil bro were so cool. Also the scene…
The editing was well done. It reads a lot like animation or manga where the paneling of diff scenes connects and parallels each other.

When Yijin saw Heedo on tv, with third place 🥺 I actually broke down.
I think there’s several scenes that legit made me tear up so bad 😭

I agree that the inspirational take they have isn't coming through. I think it's a flaw in the writing of the…
Yeah, her character isn’t inspirational like the usual underdog story but she’s relatable in the sense for anyone who wants to chase after a dream. I find that to be very impactful in the writing. I love how HD inspires YJ and vice versa. It’s beautiful.

The pay phone scenes was so good. The
fact that HD & YJ found comfort in each others words for several months by inserting coins everyday 🥺. Overflowing with feels.

HD is a complete nobody despite having connections & financial stability. The point is she wants to be good like Yurim. Also I find HD’s determination & grit impactful.

HD is a kid so yeah of course she gonna have some free time doesn’t mean she doesn’t train hard. Like she literally trains almost every ep.

I know she’s already a Gold medalist. I’m talking about training. HD was the only one who’s asked for coaches help when nobody else didn’t. Yes she has financial stability but it doesn’t erase her hard work. It’s not like her mom fully supports her in the way Yurim family supports Yurim. Yurim is written to be the classic underdog with poor background and what not. Im not saying her story ain’t interesting buts it’s already done in so many stories already. That’s why HD as a characters feels fresh to me.

I actually find ko yu rim's story more interesting and inspiring than the main leads. Hee do has plenty going…
Yurim is already well known though, she’s a gold medalist. HD is not. She’s a nobody. What does HD financial background have to do with HD’s hard work? Like am I suppose to root for the pitiful poor person just because they’re poor given that Yurim has a stinky attitude towards HD when HD has been kind to Yurim & even defended her. Coach decided to help HD because she saw her grit & potential when other members didn’t care & did the minimum. They didn’t ask for more help but HD did. HD works hard. She seems like the only fencer taking her fencing seriously even more so than Yurim.
