He’s a kid who’s been emotionally & physically abused. Suicide is sad but unfortunately true in these situation. These kinds of cases of child abuse do exist. Sometimes authority won’t listen to children even if they tell.

SY mom has anxiety which she takes medication for. You can see that her mom gets distress easily & even when SY raises her voice at her.

Her mom actually does want to work. SY insist that she does not work because it might affect not only her self but customers too.

That’s probably why her mom wants to open her own business so that she doesn’t have to worry about working on other people’s time & better to be her own boss (working in her own space & schedule )

In Ep 2 with the abused older brother who had a little sister. The little sister was unregistered & also a second child. 🥲😭 Those parents are evil.

Because the ghost who lived in HaeS house said ‘Did you see my dad’. And HaeS replied ‘why don’t you go visit him yourself.’ It’s definitely the groundskeeper who now works at Junhyun Capital because the next scene after shows the groundskeeper (his dad)

I’m still not entirely sure if HaeS was possessed or not. He might have been but not for a long time? Because earlier I thought it was the mom?

It’s not his younger brother. It’s the groundskeeper son. The son became a hungry ghost. I’m assuming out of jealousy of HaeS, who grew up in a wealthy family while his dad was a groundskeeper.

The juvenile ghost possessed the HaeS(at least what’s what I’m understanding but HaeS does not remember it or isn’t aware that he was, since he was just a kid)

I think the Proff Gu became possessed when he found the object or came into contact with it. He must have been at the motel where they stayed at. I think the ghost wanted to inhabit a more healthier body? Plus he was a folklorist so the ghost wanted to use him.

For the groundskeeper son? The one that turned to a hungry ghost. I think they lived on Hae’s grandmas property when HaeS was a kid. When The hungry ghost gets too hungry it causes the host to kill themselves?

Prof Gu had contact with HaeS mom. She wanted to find a way to suppress bad energy from the 5 cursed objects with the line of Prohibition.

HongS (& Munchun) represents the physical law of the world - catching bad guys & putting them behind bars, solving crimes etc.

While SY & HaeS represents the spiritual law of the world - appeasing ghost that is affecting the living

At the moment he does not believe in ghost given that the crimes he is dealing with does involve ghost 😅I think he’ll eventually figure it out. He’ll be helpful in putting the real bad guys away in the end. Since HaeS is a folklorist & SY a mere citizen without any authority in law.

Suicide Tree ghost [Ep 3]
- a ghost that resides in a cursed object - must destroy curse object

Yeommae - ghost possessing SY [Ep 1-6]
- A juvenile ghost made from a ritual that involves a malnutrition-sickly second child & then murdered (sacrificial rite) The most powerful ghost - can create doppelgänger, foresee into the future/vision, make someone kill themselves(suicide), possess host body

Wandering ghost [Ep 4-5]
- A ghost that can not pass on - due to something (the wooden statue-pillar that acts as a coordinate-guide to the after life)

Hungry ghost [Ep 5-6]
- feeds into people desire - turns people eyes red & gives people cardiac arrest - possess host body

Remember when the cops says that young HaeS may not have told the truth about what happen (when his mom died) because he was sick & still young. Because trauma can make people either forget what happen or retell a moment that was not correct? So what really happen and how did he end up in the mountain? Did he walked far away on his own? Was someone else there? Was HS the one possessed as a kid but can’t remember? And not his mom.

Wonder if there are multiple ghost infused together that is the yeommae? In the end the hungry ghost who resides in HaeS home say ‘their name’ referring to the ghost possessing SY.
