The scene is a bit absurd/funny intentionally. But it also highlights 2 things.

1. HaeS is someone she can go to about folklore stuff given that they met twice (since she already felt weird the night before at her dad’s place)

2. The length SY will go to get money. Like what he said is weird but SY cares about getting paid. But given that he kept taking about ghost stuff in the car she opted out 😆

It really is impressive. Compare it to last year releases like Big Mouth & Buisiness Proposal with more mainstream popular actors & mainstream genre, the 1st ep rating didn’t hit 9-10% mark like Revenant.
