I agree, Life on Mars (Korean version) the time elements & narrative story style worked because it was developed from the beginning & emphasized to the very end. The ending was also satisfying even if bittersweet.
Was waiting to watch drama after it finished airing & reading the general consensus of comments & review, it’s a skip for me.
If you want a tv show with time traveling-loop or out of body tropes-different time period & is thrilling and satisfying (without makjang elements), I recommend Reset (Chinese drama) or Dark (German show). Heck, watch Life on Mars (Korean version). With Life on Mars, the audience can interpret the end however they want & doesn't spoon feed you the obvious. At least with these shows, the time elements actually plays a key part in the stories. Plus the acting, cinematography, special effects & editing is really good.
