As someone who used to struggle with the same dilemma i can relate to you. I ended up overcoming it though after watching jewel in the palace though. Now i have no problem working on really long dramas and even enjoy the process of watching the story unfold. Alot of my favorite most unforgettable dramas usually range from 50-100 episodes because the story id usually more thought out and the characters are deeper with more room for character growth. while i completely understand and relate to your struggles having been in a similar position myself, i hope you too can one day find the beauty and charm in longer dramas

yeah mine too. I kind of regret finally finding it because this movie was heart breaking. They even have it on Netflix now just in case I didn't cry enough seeing it the first time

I was just about to say what a crummy picture that was. pictures of actors from historicals should never be used anyway because without all that facial hair and long flowing locks of gray hair they look completely different in modern attire. This picture is just confusing, is this guy Yu Rong Guang or Gandalf the grey? This picture really leaves room for speculation haha

I'm really enjoying this drama so far. The story progression seems to flow very naturally and ties in together nicely and I love the main girl in this. I hope they don't make her get weaker as the series progress as we so often see. Plus the OST is great, i'm in love with the song My Romeo. I've already sent my ship with her and the secretary sailing although I get the feeling it's doomed to sink but there's always that hope the writers will make the story unique and unpredictable by making them end up together so i'll keep it sailing =D

well better to get all those damsel in distress scenes out of the way in the beginning than have to suffer through it later on in the series.There's still hope for her xD

I've never seen To the Beautiful You but I completely agree with you about BOF and The Heirs. The only thing I can think of that would make this article even better would be the inclusion of Boss and Me to the list. Now that drama had me wanting to commit seppuku just to wipe it from my memory

I see what you mean. I typically enjoy a good character growth story as well which was one of the charms I found King's Daughter having, however, It's pretty rare in dramaland to find a heroine that doesn't ever need saving and is more reliable and strong than her male counterparts as is in Empress Ki. I guess she became sort of a dramaland super hero for me and I loved how much ambition she had and how she sacrificed everything for the sake of her country.While the girl in King's daughter was a more realistic character, I enjoyed watching Empress Ki's character dominate. It's just interesting to see a character with so much win every once in a while I guess lol

Happy birthday! I'm not really familiar with this actor but I thought it was cool that he was born the exact same day and year as I was so happy birthday to us dude!

I was pretty satisfied with it. I was happy she ended up with Park Kyu instead of William at least. overall I thought it was a pretty cute ending

If I hadn't just finished this drama, I would have agreed with you. A new synopsis should be in order....however, if it's one thing i've realized after watching all 13 episodes, it's that the synopsis seriously narrated the entire drama. Seriously, thats pretty much all that was to it so as far as synopsis go it was pretty accurate haha

so uh...is this ever going to get subbed or am I going to be like that old croon off of the Titanic reminiscing about the past? ...."it's been 84 years.....and still no subs."
