A very bizarre yet eerily interesting series from ep 1-2 but somewhere in the middle it lost me. I don't believe the other aspects of the genres it mentions are explored enough sadly. Also a very huge shoutout to the FL she had a truly outstanding acting that blew me away, but the downsides were one too many.
I'll say this, It's not a show for the sensitive or someone's first intro to thriller dramas.
she's a really good actress but this drama was pretty mediocre unfortunately.
Genuinely OK at best It's not note-worthy to the point of loud praise. Fair play to the ones that enjoyed it, but that does not shield the series from criticism. There are plot holes as well, but if we ignore them this show can be found "entertaining"
Please, still give it! The aim of this drama is conversations
Watched up until episode 6 and I think the message It's trying to give out in short is great. My issue stems from how this was adapted, western shows dont translate well into Korean cultural context (very bold decision from the director of this show) and lastly the hipocrisy of It's own message bothers me to the point I dropped it. But genuinely hope others come and give their opinions too but keep it civil.
They should have gotten someone else instead of Mary Sue here.. I mean Mina Sue, looks and beauty aside her demeanor keeps creating this atmosphere that's constantly daunting. I don't hate it but it is not necessary.
Fantastic start, good in the middle too but something felt missing and it was more & more apparent towards the end. Still a great show! I'd highly recommend for thriller enjoyers like myself.
Might be the greatest ever k-trhiller I can't get over how tight this series had me for a week (I was taking my sweet time with the episodes bcs of work lol)
There seems to be disconnect between the ratings here and IMDB ? 8.3 vs 9.1 (Still great!) But I'm so confused what is causing this to be only 8 here. Feedback elsewhere has been positive.
Oh well nothing better than finding out for myself!
After seeing his impressive performance in "BLIND" I'm in for a ride to see his acting skills in "Save Me". Very good actor and possible future favorite of mine!
first kdrama to ever bring me in for a THIRD (3??) re-watch and has permanently altered my brain how i enjoy others dramas 😂... Soo Cheol my goat....
It's been a few days, or weeks maybe ? I can't find my original review (episode 4).. wel now im here for a short full review.
WHEEW. This was a great journey portraying the depths of human emotions, woven intricately with the threads of love, sacrifice, and resilience. It felt like every triumph and every setback Hae-in encountered felt like a personal victory or loss for me on a personal level, and that made it a whole rollercoaster of emotions for me. Funnily enough, my personal favorite "couple" that i was so happy to see win was Soo Cheol and Da Hye. I loved how over the course of the series she realised her relationship with him, although rocky was real.
Yes the first episode (looking back now) i still stand by the fact it can be a bit confusing, but be seated and trust the story to build up! Because you dont want to miss this visually stunning and emotionally resonant kdrama.I think the series is a testament to the power of storytelling, witnessing the evolution of a Hae-in from vulnerability to indomitable courage, capturing the essence of Ji-soo's character with depth and authenticity. 10/10. I'll be back for a rewatch someday!
I was caught - hook, line and sinker - at the end of Episode 2. Up to that point, I was on the fence - did not…
This was when he shot the animal attacking Hae-in? Definately agree, it was cool.
For me it was episode 3, Hae-in showing more interest in him and catching herself looking at him more often. Also their "couple synergy" was increasingly attractive to see them give in to compliments etc. ++ Build up for what i now know are the opposing group or you could say villain(s).
I'll say this, It's not a show for the sensitive or someone's first intro to thriller dramas.

Only downside is we can't watch it all at once ðŸ˜
