I don't know, I feel really heartbroken about Ye Xian and Winwin's acting was so intense I actually cried for…
as someone who's very much anti JinZhao/Ye Xian as a ship, I absolutely loved the scene where they were talking separated by a wall, and the actor did great

why does this drama looks strangely familiar 🤔 it's like I've watched it somewhere but I don't quite remember…
I personally think it's most similar to Love Like The Galaxy.. the FL's are basically the same person, and their dynamic with the ML's is extremely alike

I don’t care for Ye Xian as a match for Jinzhao, he has some very serious issues. However, I can understand…
agree

enough time has passed i think i can definitively say i am bothered by the voice actors dubbing the characters…
agree. I love this drama and the bad dub sync has got to be the worst part of it

In novel-to-drama adaptations, male protagonists are rarely allowed to behave like men of their own eras. I understand…
can you list some examples of what you mean? I'm curious

the only thing I can image being different is there being more misogyny, which we're better off without

The FL's relationship with her family was the most interesting part about this to me. Her brother is soooooooo lovable he's my absolute favorite <3 the cutie patootie of a king is precious too

the Fl carried the show,ML cannot act.
eh considering the amount of Song Wei Long in your account, and the fact that there's a childish fan war going on, I'm choosing to ignore this. Both ZLH and SWL are great, don't bring that immature drama here

Whaddyamean...Her Private Life is a decent show.
I personally thought it was the worst drama I've ever seen but opinions vary I guess :D

I really liked Jeon Jae Yeol on Coffee Prince and then some time ago I made the mistake of watching the disaster that is Her Private Life and I couldn't stand him ever since, and it doesn't help that his character here is infuriating

edit after reading some of the comments: how on EARTH are y'all getting 2ML syndrome from this????? 2ML is literally horrible are we watching the same show 😭He was even getting touchy with her against her will, hellloooo?

out of all the things I've seen a villain do, spying on someone's therapy has got to be one of the absolute worst lmao

I loved the beautifully lit cinematography, the romantic lighting, and the perpetual state of golden hour... :p

I usually avoid watching teenage/highschool romance because it often feels weird to me. Sometimes they're just plainly unrelatable. And sometimes there's a lot of directors/writers that throw in a highschool setting into a story that would work way better for adult characters, not to mention the creepy directors that project their predatory gaze into these kinda shows (hello hollywood, hello sam levinson..) But this show was not even close to any of that. It felt like the showmakers created this out of a deeply beloved nostalgia, and maybe even one they felt after becoming parents themselves, because some scenes, like the ones with Qin Ye Yun's dad, felt like they came from a parental perspective..

I found it really touching how this brings up economical and class struggles.

I know a lot of people dislike the ML/Jiang Qiao Xi, and even tho I don't agree with his actions, I see where he's coming from. I thought his character was beautifully complex, and the shame he felt was very human.

This was also a confirmation for me that Zhang Linghe can really ACT. It's a shame some people dismiss his talent just because he's known for being good looking.

Overall, I really loved this drama and I think it deserves a much higher rating than the current one.

Title Azure Spring
The drama hasn't even finish, yet people already gave low rating?
fr this is way better than sold out on you but for some reason the rating's lower.. ig people just really like the overplayed clichés (not that this is unprecedented but it's definitely more original)
