This isn't everyone's cup of tea but i think it was really well made. the people are relatable and their relationships are really touching. the themes are very realistic and just overall felt very meaningful.
I was pleasantly surprised by this drama. The first few minutes deterred me away originally but after seeing the chemistry between the leads, I really got into it. The drama is short and easy to watch. Due to its length, they don't shove it with useless filler content.
Ugh thank you so much for writing about Zhou Shen! He's probably one of the most genuine artists in China. He's truly a gem the whole world needs to hear! 🙏
The budget was so low on this drama I feel bad for the crew 🤣 but I did manage to pull through until the end. I'm glad it was short. Luo Zheng's acting has some space for improvement but he is definitely nice to look at, the costume design was really flattering on him X)
I'm enjoying it but really the most outrageous thing about this is his fashion. What's with the turtleneck button-down…
LOL YES. I don't know what the producer or stylist is thinking. He can pull off anything, it doesn't make sense that he has to wear the same style for the whole drama.
People keep bashing the FL for being stupid. Honestly, they're both bad at communication especially ML. He is very very bad at it. Instead of saying what he means, he uses a roundabout way that comes off as a back-handed compliment or shade. He knows when she misunderstands him yet doesn't bother to clear it up cause he's prideful. But they're college freshmen and the EQ of the average college freshman is probably around this level. Also I don't know about anyone else but in my college no one had the time to set people up like the antagonists here do lol so I don't think the average person catches on. We see the full picture as an audience so we think they're stupid but we were probably all just as a dumb at their age~ XP
What did Yang Yang do wrong lolAnd, althought I'm sure people that share similar tastes have some similarities,…
Lol I just think he's a very cheesy actor and is not good with emotions and expressions. He is very handsome but it's shallow and short-lived because he lacks charisma to grab onto your heart versus just serving as eye candy. He doesn't get into character so it doesn't feel genuine watching. When I see him act all I see is Yang Yang trying to play someone else, not the actual character he's supposed to be. He doesn't seem to truly deeply understand his characters which makes his acting not believable. He doesn't immerse the audience in the actual story and characters. That's just my own judgment based on the dramas I've seen him star in. =| Hopefully he has improved his acting skills in his upcoming dramas. For him to grow as an actor, he needs to let go of his pretty boy roles and persona.
Couldn't stand The King's Avatar because of Yang Yang but I watched the other dramas. The most unrealistic part was the amount of free time they had and just their overall personas. I know gamers, they're nothing like this LOL. That being said I enjoyed Go Go Squid and Gank Your Heart. Those two had the most likable characters. =D
Also I don't know about anyone else but in my college no one had the time to set people up like the antagonists here do lol so I don't think the average person catches on. We see the full picture as an audience so we think they're stupid but we were probably all just as a dumb at their age~ XP
Not sure how to edit on MDL, but if someone can, the lady in the link is the correct actress.
