I'll just like to disagree on your statement that the cheating plot doesn't fit. I know it is overused in BL shows…
Thanks for people polite about it~ I understand what you mean but I just find it unsettling that everything will probbably be okay in the end DESPITE what Teh did, we still have 2 episodes left and I want this series to stay as realistic as possible (Oh-aew leaving Teh) but I can't see that happening. There's still a bunch of scenes from the trailer that we haven't even seen yet... Let's wait and see
This feels like such a downgrade from ITSAY. ITSAY was so realistic and beautifully shot, the atomosphere of the scenes made you feel so much, all the timing was perfect but IPTYM... I'm disappointed. It doesn't have the same feeling, it feels like so much is happening but also nothing at the same time.
I don't understand why we've used the overused and awful cheating plotline when it just doesn't even seem to fit. Everything just feels really messy.
There's still 2 episodes left but I'm not keeping my hopes up very high. I forgave Teh for everything until now but I can't justify this one. I'm genuinley really upset with him as a character and I don't see how this is going to end well at all. Cheating should not be normalised and I'm so tired of seeing it in LGBTQ+ shows, it's so overused and somehow everything always ends up right at the end. I hate it.
Oh-aew deserves better. Fuck you, Teh.
I feel like this has totally ruined Teh as a character. Demonising Oh-aew and his friends. He was so scared of Oh cheating that he's the one whos changed massively. Blaming Oh's friends and just saying he's copying them. Not being excited for him or his work but praises Jai like hes some kind of God. I hate it. I'm irritated it's ended up this way.
Jai is suspicious and has been since the trailer but he's just getting creepy and weird now. I feel like he's just using Teh (and Oh-aew's) relationship for inspiration for his dumb play. His character makes me uncomfortable. His motives scare me. The worst part is Oh-aew is probably going to think that kiss was all acting because of what Jai said. Oh-aew will be so understanding about it and it's sick when it's clear Teh feels something for Jai.
This whole comment is messy because I'm upset. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.
I was enjoying this show, as it's like a form stress relief and something I don't need to take too seriously, but mocking someones culture doesn't sit right with me. I just feel like in 2021 this is something we should've moved past, they should know better. Apart from that, I'm enjoying Mork and Pi's chemistry and I'm looking forward to their development
I've been thinking about this series all day, mainly because I miss Ohm. I wonder when it'll start airing? I'm hoping it'll be after Fish Upon The Sky, I can't wait.
I absolutely adore Ohm so I'm very excited for this. I've seen almost everything Nanon is in too and I think he's great. Knowing these two are already super close off screen has me even more excited than I originally would be. Ohm has chemistry with literally everyone but seeing him act with his bestfriend is going to be amazing.
