I guess because in the drama, so many hints pointed out that his uncle is the mastermind and had something to do with Jizhou war. They also know about the tiger tally that Qi Min has which could be an evidence that Wei Qilin was not a traitor. But Xie Zheng couldn’t prove it otherwise, and he knows that Fan Changyu suddenly act cold towards him because of her origin.

I didn’t read the novel, but I’m sucker for angst plot, so I would love the novel version. 🙃

It pains me so much watching the preview, not sure how I’d feel when watching the whole scene of it. Definitely not ready for this angst. 😭The pain of betrayal must be so great for Xie Zheng, someone that he looked up to growing up is the one who caused the war and the death of his own father. Not a single ounce of guilt when raising him and even demand him to be filial. Gosh!

Me too and the fact that I’ve been watching this drama on WeTV from ep 1 🙃 Gosh, I could’ve missed this moment.

I just made a comment on the subtitle difference and I think Netflix got the nuances better than iQiyi and WeTV, but iQiyi at least is better than WeTV. The only downside of iQiyi is the song subtitles annoyed the hell out of me. I’ve complained so many times to them when I watched How Dare You and Love Between Lines. During HDY, it’s important scene with facial expression, but because of those big ass song subtitles and the dialogue subtitles, it took half of the screen and disrupt my watching experience. Idk how it is for this drama because I was so fed up with that experience, but I’ll watch on iQiyi for the express

I don’t prefer watching dramas in illegal website because of the lag. I only opt for illegal website for some kdramas that only available on Prime and Viki because they’re usually not available in my region.

I read comments that Netflix’s translation is more accurate and I’m surprised because Netflix’ subtitles are ass when it comes to kdrama. WeTV, what the hell was that? Thank God I saw someone posted about the different subtitles on X, so I ended up rewatch on Netflix to get the feels.

Ok I heard that Netflix has the best subtitle for the part that Xie Zheng said he’ll only love Fang Chang Yu and WeTV has the worse sub for this part as it’s too simple. I’ll rewatch in Netflix then since I usually watch this drama from WeTV. I don’t like iQiyi because of the song subtitles will take over your screen though I’ve iQiyi premium mainly for express package.

I think so? I thought he did order the attack on the Fan sisters in earlier episodes, but they were saved by Yan Zheng and Commandant Li, then General He sent a letter to Wei Yan to stop him from harassing Fan sisters. Wei Yan was like “okay forget it, what would the daughters do” thinking they’re just weak girls.

He’s the one of the best honestly. He cares about Chang Yu a lot and even surpressed his own feelings when he saw Chang Yu and her live-in husband during the camp.

Exactly and they keep on asking the same questions without reading the comments, like if they scroll down abit, they would know that people have been talking about the leaked episodes. It’s so hard to find comments that actually talk about the drama up to official released episodes.
