It’s sooo good to hear that Xu Yan still visits Mr Huang’s mother-in-law. She treats her like her own grandmother 🫶🏻

I saw on twitter a video of Ms Yu’s POV on Xu Yan video. She knew all along that Yan lied about her background and she tested her multiple times and everytime Yan came up with idea to save herself. Along the way, MIL thinks Yan is good for her son because she’s a strategist and knows how to get out from difficult situation. Yan’s personality and traits made the MIL admires her on how she takes care of the family and supports Haoming for his business. The MIL waits for Xu Yan to come clean that’s why she asked why are you lying to us for so long?
I just feel the scene between Yan and MIL is so sweet. She dreamed for a family, and now she actually has family that supports her (MIL + Haochen)

Yes, he’s busy with Fang Lei but he also rejected Yan’s phone call when he’s with Haochen like he could just easily answer or text her saying he’s staying with Haochen, but no, he just rejected it without any explanation and somehow this is building the glass between them that she mentioned to her sister and she’s starting to feel that the sand castle is crumbling.

I wonder if Haoming purposely made Yan thought he’s cheating on her by not answering her phone calls. He’s indeed becoming less affectionate and making Yan feel unease and doubt him.

It could be because he’s training her that their relationship is a transactional and now that he’s given her the unlimited credit card and her dream job, he doesn’t really have to keep up with his romantic act. He’ll just keep using her for his business image.

But…I still have little faith that it could be he’s starting to fall in love with her and feeling that he’s losing control since she seems not happy to get his gift rewards and she keeps on wanting to come clean and always protecting him. He might also feels guilty towards Fang Yun that he’s starting to fall in love with someone else, so he’s bringing up a wall between them for him to stay on his true purpose. Because after almost a year together, there’s no love and affection at all?

She only lied about her family background. Her university and education qualifications are valid because she’s a top student, that’s why HM’s mom said to her in the beginning that she’s beautiful and have good education background & career, but she’s lacking of family background to fit in. No one in the station would know much about her real parents because they’re not present in her life so she could easily tell this lie to them that her parents are abroad. Normal people won’t care much about tv host’s or journalist’s personal life, it’s not like she’s a top celebrity. Even if she’s married to high profile people, only high profile circle would know her as Haoming’s wife and normal citizen won’t care much about her background.

I just want to talk about how I got goosebumps during the scene between Xu Yan and her parents when she asked them “what is this act being heartbroken parents” like damn we could understand that Xu Yan is so sick of her parents but at the same time she’s disappointed and hurt, hoping that her parents would realize and admit their mistake, but she’s tired of fighting to get them to care about her. Her expression of mixed emotions after her parents left her alone…just wow!

I don’t condone rude daughter, but what Xu Yan lashed out are all on point. Sometimes parents can be toxic, and hard to admit their mistake and apologize.

We’re gonna get the angst episodes (14&15) on Thursday. Gosh, can’t wait!

I wonder if Haoming thought that Yan was scheming from day 1 to get his attention, because girl only wanted to get the exclusive interview without knowing who he really is. Maybe he saw her as someone ambitious as she’s willing to go above and beyond just to get her job done. He tested her by inviting her to the office and at this point, I’m not even surprised if he thought Yan faked her sickness to get his attention. It’s kinda heartbreaking because what moved her was the cute bandage, not him flashing his wealth and resources to her.

damn, with that teaser of ep 14, I can’t wait anymore! kinda excited for their conflict & divorce era.

Please tell me that ML is not cheating on her later like Idc if he’s calculative and manipulative just like FL, I just don’t want him to be a cheater.

Just finished watching this drama. I need l drama recommendations that have similar revenge plot/vibe like this one!!

This is my first short drama that I sat through all episodes because it’s good and the revenge is satisfying. I always watch short drama half way because I couldn’t stand how ridiculous it usually would turn out to, but this one is on point.

FL costumes are so pretty and stunning. I love her style, full of grace and elegance.

I don’t understand why suddenly Hanyan and Yun Xi scene on the rooftop and FYX choked her saying she’s deceiving him. What did she do to make him mad? Is it because of the hairpin and she threatened Noble Consort that could potentially go south and the whole family might be implicated and killed? afterward they talked about FYX being Pei Dafu’s adopted son. Hanyan talked about big bet, like what exactly? For a second I thought that she revealed about Pei Dafu’s adopted son to Noble Consort, but it doesn’t seem to be the case because afterward she said if they kill her dad, no one would know about Yunxi being the other adopted son.


It could be because of english translation from WeTv might not be inaccurate making it hard for viewer to understand the scene exactly.

I need some explaination on ep23 after Hanyan met with the Noble Consort Mao…

I just started watching this drama and on ep 6 now. Idc if FL’s mom actually had good intentions to drive her away from Zhuang household to keep her safe, to me, she’s a terrible mom and she’s been nothing but mean to her. Hanyan had endured suffering for 17 years and her mom didn’t comfort her at all. Her mom also let her starved just to make her accept marriage arrangement? the redemption arc has to be so good for me to accept Hanyan forgiving her mom later on. Otherwise, I want my girl to keep on avenging all her family members (including her parents) that made her suffer since she’s born. Dad looks suspicious af, so I don’t trust him either.

It’s great at the beginning and I was totally hooked during the immortal realm, but somehow I got bored during the demon realm and felt like the story lost its sparks and moved quite slow. The amnesia plot is quite draggy and I thank God when it’s over then suddenly it goes bam, another amnesia plot in mortal realm. 😂 During the mortal realm, it’s quite cute but I couldn’t pass through the fact that ML was 19 when FL was flirting with him at first, but he had so many concubines, oh well.

Overall, it’s enjoyable and watchable drama to me, but I think the rewatch value to me is only for immortal realm episodes.

Finally, Rowoon’s new drama. I’ve missed him 😭

The story will unfold. The four branches can be found in their second name like Zi Yu is under Yu branch, Yuan Zhi from Zhi branch, Shang Jue from Jue branch and Zi Shang from Shang branch. Technically, they’re all related like cousins & relatives with the same Gong surname.

They also have elderly families that sort of like advisors for the Sword Wielder and Gong family: Xue, Yue and Han.

Gong Shangjue and Gong Yuanzhi, sorry that I doubted both of you in the beginning. 😭

I started watching this because of Zhang Ling He with zero expectation. What can I say other than I love love love it! It’s not because of ZLH only, but the storyline is interesting and full of suspense and twist. Amazing production because the fighting scenes are beautifully done and work of art. All the casts nailed it! I was fully invested in all their character development.
